Bought this Saturday and joined RME today. Nick from Parker, Colorado (SE of Denver) Stock 2012 Wrangler JKU with LED light bar. 4.10s Manual Building a rear hitch rack currently.
I wasn't really in the market, but this truck popped into my FB feed, so I bought it. It's a 2008 F150. Basic package, with chrome bumpers. The truck has a bad sputter/misfire. Being as It was less than 1/2 the price of the cheapest comparable truck I could find.. I figured it was worth the risk. The truck just rolled over 200k on the odo. It has the 5.4L V8. Interior is fairly clean, with typical drivers seat wear. Obviously I have to figure out what is causing the sputter before I can get too far into plans for it.. But I have to decide what I would like to do with it. If I keep It, I have to sell my colorado. In order to use the truck for work I would have to add a shell or utility bed. It is nice to have a little more room...

My grandpa bought this truck brand new while working at a ford dealer. I've been asking for it since I was about 6 years old. It was the first vehicle I drove (age 9ish?) The truck has been borrowed and abused by every relative, neighbor, and ward member since it was new. One particular neighbor owned an orchard, and twice stepped out of the truck without getting it fully into park, and left the drivers door opened. This resulted in the drivers door being smashed by a tree when the truck would drive off on its own. The truck quit running back in 2012, so grandpa sent it home with me. He passes away not much later. The truck has been sitting in my garage for the past 4 years, and has finally been pulled out. Its in much worse shape...

After a year of searching, I finally found the vehicle I've been searching for: a 2007 turbo Diesel Grand Cherokee with Quadra Drive II. What's special about the 2007 and 2008 WK CRD is these years had the Mercedes OM642 engine. The 3.0 six cylinder engine produced just as much torque as the hemi option, but without the hit in mpg. That, and diesel. This guy was one owner with only 55k miles. It was garage kept, and horribly bone stock. It was a breeze to work on, every bolt turned without issue, it was a FL vehicle its whole life. First up, I had to do the audio. I used wire from the spare parts bin and open unwanted/old equipment. The vehicle was shipped with a full-featured nav deck, so I didn't see the point of replacing it...

A month or so ago I picked this truck up on ksl after selling my grand cherokee, the goal was the same as the grand, build a vehicle to go wheeling, take to moab and do some hard trails, be a daily driver, and be reliable, plans were for a dana 60 and a 14 bolt, so here is what I started out with it was a pretty clean fairly low mileage truck with some horrible spray tint on the lights, the first thing I wanted to do was sand and buff the lenses and rip all the moldings off, here was the result a few weeks after I picked it up I started looking for a 14 bolt and a dana 60, found my rear 14 bolt at a local junk yard, it was out of a 96, after making some measurements I realized it would bolt right in and the stock drive shaft would...

Hi all, I posted my 4Runner for sale on here a while ago (before my "vacation" to Afghanistan) which left me 4WD-less. While I was away I had plenty of time to think of what I wanted next. I needed something for Home Depot runs, off-road-able (not enormous), aftermarket available, tow cars/stuff, comfortable and reliable. As a single dude with no kids, I have no need for a double cab or crew cab. As a diehard Toyota fan I discovered Toyota made a single cab 2nd gen in standard (mid) bed. After a bit of research they're actually the same length of a Access Cab Tacoma but a bit wider. Plus, when lifted they look like a bizzaro stadium truck. They're surprisingly small, very bulldog-ish which I like. The space behind the seats is insane...
Since my oldest kid started driving, I’ve wanted to find a second vehicle to take on jeep trips to give us more room, and have him drive. We had a RZR for a couple years, but didn't quite fit with what we do, so I got rid of it, and my father in law ended up giving us this 1990 Geo Tracker. I think it only has about 30K on the rebuilt motor. This will never be my primary “jeep”, but does have a rear seat so it has 4 seat belts. I also have a 22’ trailer, and can’t fit anything longer (along with my jeep) – so we are sticking with this for the foreseeable future. I started out with a spool in the rear, a 4:1 Transfer case reduction, new clutch, and a Low Range 3 1/2" lift and 31" tires. We used it on a few trips, but I...
My pa bought a 2 door cherokee so I could have a heater on the way to school, I am liking it so far. We got it with some skinny snow tires and traded those out for 31" All Terrian BFG's, the wheels are from an old TJ. The BFG's make it look almost trail ready. We don't plan on doing much else to the little machine that I get to drive to school and possibly in the future offroad. Before After more better

Well I found myself bored and decided to post up a build thread of sorts on my truck. Maybe its a way to motivate myself to get this thing done. As of late I have found it hard to build up the motivation to get it done. I have even thought about selling it and getting out of wheeling altogether. Then I realize where I now live and have not really done any off roading here at all and think of all of the things I would be missing out on. This has been one of those projects that have just lingered on to long. There have been a number of factors that have contributed. Some are legit other not so much... Anyways here it goes. I bought this truck with only 17000 miles on it. It is the closest thing to new I have ever bought. I will have...
