I picked this up over the weekend. It was briefly owned by Greg@RME a year or so ago so it's coming home to Utah in a way. There are a few dings etc consistent with what you'd expect from a 20 year old car. Like a lot of 80s the front seats were trashed, split leather and bad foam. Before going to get the truck I got a lead on a pair of front seats in decent condition that were at a shop there in GJ. I arranged to go take a look at them after I bought the truck. It worked out great. It was a shop I'd never heard of called Metric Offroad that specializes in Cruisers. They had 20-30 trucks in the yard at the shop and the owner said he had another lot with another 40 trucks. A whole range of trucks from 40's to 80s and some...

Cruiser dudes son did a "soft roll" while on a mountain trail and decided to sell the truck for parts to Kurt (mr cruiser outfitters) Another cruiser dude (Jason i think?) decided it was salvageable and gave it a 3rd chance at...

Because I don't have enough projects on my hands.... Admittedly, this thread is a little premature in starting it but I'm just going to be logging my progress of rebuilding my truck. My very first vehicle ever was a 1973 Chevy Silverado, K10 with 4" lift and 33's, picked it up for $300 near my 16th birthday. That was back before I knew anything at all about vehicles, (I didn't know that engines needed coolant haha. I ended up ruining the engine) Sold it and regretted it ever since. I always told myself I would pay $6k+ to buy it back, but after a while that turned out to be an unrealistic dream. This spring I picked up a '84 Silverado, SBC 350, manual SM465, long bed, 6" lift and 35's. The kid I bought it from had been...

I decided its time to retire the old car, it was good to me but i need something newer with working AC again. picked this up yesterday. 2010' Tacoma Leveled with i believe a 3"/1" kit New Tires 285/75/R17 2.7L Manual 5 speed I'm loving this thing. Fits me better than the old mazda, though i'll still miss that old heap.
I had a few pictures of my trailer in my Tacoma build thread and had a few people ask for more details on the trailer, so here's a little build thread to hopefully give some ideas to those considering a trailer. First off, I had no idea what I was going when I started this build. I knew what I wanted but had no experience with anything trailer related. I did lots of research and got some pointers from some good friends with trailers and off I went. To start I needed an axle. I built the trailer originally to be towed behind my FZJ80 so I had Henderson Wheel on 1700 S and 300 E in SLC build me an axle to match the track width of the cruiser with the same lug pattern. The basic idea for the trailer was something about the...

I've had this Cruiser for a few years now and am just now pending some more quality time with it and finally have some pictures to share. This is a JDM import (Japanese Domestic Market), it was legally imported from Japan in 2011, just as it turned 25 years-old which is the EPA/Customs requirement for import. (Stickered up for TCT Magazine, they borrowed it for their magazine debut @ CruiserFest last year) Basic Specs: 1986 BJ74, Auto, RHD, factory PTO, full-float rear axle & removable top. Powered by a 13BT (3.4L) Turbo-diesel. Stock suspension/drive-train. My only projects thus far have been some minor maintenance and cleanup. Overall it is very clean particularly for it's age. It has less than 100k miles on it but it's...
Since my Jeep is about to undergo a major transformation, I decided it might be time to make a thread about it. I'll begin with the background information. I purchased it back in October 2010; it was stone stock... and in need of some TLC. At the time, I already owned a 1997 Wrangler SE: As I explained it to my wife, this purchase was the easy way to simultaneously upgrade to the 4.0L engine, the Dana44 rear axle, and also get fewer miles on the odometer (SE had 94k; the Sport had only 82k). The Sport cost me just $1500 more than I got selling the SE, so I felt I did okay with this swap. My ultimate goal was to put the Sport on 35" tires, but prudence required me to stay close to stock for a while. The Sport's bald tires...
Just liked to introduce myself. I'm Alex, here's my tame 91 XJ Sport. Mostly stock: coil spacers, rear block(yuck) that how I bought it, a few lights, 31 Capital AT's. I've owned it for about a year. I keep to the mild stuff and use it mostly to get to isolated camping spots. The day I got it. Fins and Things last summer
