Started getting my stuff out today and thought some of you may like to see my DiY caller. It's a 12volt amp wireless mic and horn In a camo bag. I power it with a 7ah battery that runs it for a Long time between charges. Excellent wireless range and very loud. I plug the transmitter into an iPod that I have my calls loaded on.

Man, hope those surgeries heal fast and do the trick for you! That's why I haven't been out much this year too - not that I've had surgery, but that I probably should have already, was hurting so much I couldn't do anything for a couple months. Managing it with steroids right now, but that train ain't going much further.

I've been really happy with how fast I have been recovering I should be close to 100% by my second surgery

So this week while I was out of town for work I was surfing the web and came across what looks to be some cool varmint hunting videos. I ordered the set of three. Maybe if Im lucky I can get them autographed :)

Just be prepared to use the money back guarantee. Seriously!

Somebody (...me...), really needs to get around to shutting that site down one of these days. Some friends still get a decent number of hits off the links page, else it would have been gone long ago.

I personally have not watched any of those in years, have never seen them on an HD TV. But they are not HD DVD's, so, no joke - don't be bashful about asking for your money back!

I honestly think I'd be embarrassed to watch any of them now...

Changing the subject... Wind kicked our butt last weekend. Worked hard to get just a few. But had one stand with two come in together and we each dropped one. My partner holding them both:

The way things are shaping up, probably be after Christmas before I get to go again.

Watched the first video in my new 3 video varmint hunting series yesterday. Not going to lie I had a few good chuckles but I really enjoyed the breakdowns that went over equipment and talked strategy. And I really enjoyed Tim using his old trust rifle for everything it made me laugh at myself for some of the money I have spend on guns and had far less success with.

He's still rocking the same one.

Scope finally crapped the bed and I put a new one on it for him this year (Burris fixed 6x). But that old Winny is still going! When we sighted in the new scope I shot about a 3/4" group with it off my folding table (still the same table, too...).

Thread resurrection. A friend of mine has been doing a lot of reading and learning about coyote hunting, and has invited me to join him for his first trip out. We are trying to figure out where we should go. I don't want to poach on anyone's special spot, but could someone point us in a good direction to get started?

Can't help with specific areas, but this time of year they are really located on the jackrabbits. If you know of, or can find anywhere with good rabbit numbers right now, there WILL be coyotes there too.

The pups are out and about and pretty darn easy to call. Family groups coming in together right now, called in three family groups on Sat., ended up calling in over 20 coyotes for the day.

Thanks Dave, that is in fact very helpful.
I was googling, and found your coyote site. It's been a lot of fun to read through it.. and taken away all of my morning so far. I will return after I get some work done :)
