Planning a trip May 5&6 with the Moab Friends for Wheelin' group. Some of us have been there but would love to have someone from the area, or familiar with it, show us around. Buggy-ish to buggies will be there. We figure we can link a few trails together each day to make the most of our time. Let me know if you're interested or willing.

I'm in no buggy, but can point out where to go, also there is a free map of the area that is pretty accurate, but missing newer trails through Dixie 4x4 or UPLA. Let me know, I should be around.

Not sure if I’m even close to buggy-ish but I’ll give it my darnedest to keep up! Unless this weekend’s looker turns into a buyer for the XJ...

You'll do just fine. I'm not really sure who will be coming from Moab or what they'll be in so I just gave that as a general description based on the usual crowd.

Hope you can make it but I wish you even better luck with your potential sale.

Sounds good! THe nice thing about sand hollow is everything is so close you can do many trails in one day and many have bypasses or exit points all throughout the trail if it isn't your cup of tea. See you then. FYI I think the Cartomaps are better, more precise, but for free the UPLA map is fine :D

Thanks - It’s one of those things that if it sells, great. If not, I’ll keep on using it until it does or I eventually finish the YJ.

I’ll be driving over Friday and driving home the following Monday. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express right off the exit for Sand Hollow.

Well then, Coyote Canyon really wouldn't have worked for you today... By the way, it was fun! This will ruin you Sand Hollow trip as well but glad to hear you'll have more funds for the next build.

Sand hollow is closed, but is the mountain closed? That is not part of sand hollow. In the years past the mountain is open, you just have to access it from the Washington dam staging area

I'm not sure of the specifics I just saw signs this last weekend and wanted to mention it so someone didn't get all the way down there and have issues.

Thanks for the heads up. According to the Ironman maps and even the story on ksl.com yesterday, the road around the reservoir and SR9 into hurricane will be closed. However, access on Southern Parkway is open, at least to Washington Dam. The trail area is BLM and not affected by the Ironman competition. It should be a fun weekend.
