Wife's 2019 JLUR

I'll start this off with this is my wife's and eventually my son's Jeep. They've picked everything we done to it from the options it was ordered with to the parts we've put on it. It's turned out pretty nice so far.

We started looking at different vehicles a couple months ago, my wife would want the Wrangle, then she'd want something else, then go back to the Wrangler, then something else. She finally settled on the Wrangler...I didn't try to persuade her otherwise :D . After shopping around a bit, I remembered we have a resident Jeep Salesman on RME so I reached out to @TurboMinivan who was quick to give us advice, put together a custom order, and we setup a time to go put a deposit down and get it ordered. (If you're considering a vehicle he sells, Jeep, Dodge, Subaru, Kia, probably others then I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to him)

Here's what my wife wanted:
  • 4-Door Rubicon
  • Sting Gray
  • 2.0L I4
  • 8-Speed Auto
  • LED Lighting
  • Cold Weather Package
  • Trailer Tow Package
  • Electronic Infotainment Package
  • Active Safety Package
  • Body Color Freedom Top
  • Body Color Fenders
  • Black Leather
  • Remote Start
  • Keyless Entry
She got exactly what she wanted. Even before it got home, I was buying part through @mesha (Davy was super helpful, made some great suggestions and was competitive on pricing) so that I would be ready to go once it arrived. Here's what we ended up doing for the initial round of parts:
  • Sport ST2 2.5" Suspension System & Falcon 3.3 Fast Adjust Shocks
  • Teraflex Alpine Adjustable Track Bar
  • Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 Fast Adjust Steering Stabilizer
  • Nomad Off-Road Wheel
  • 315/70/R17 BFG AT KO2
Went today and got the wheels mounted and the alignment done. Jeep is driving great and my wife and son are totally excited for the Jeep they've "built" :D

There will be plenty more to come on this. Now that my son has gotten a bit of the bug and my wife has it again they are already asking for other upgrades. :p

Thats a killer build you have going on there. Im sure your wife will love it for years to come... or a few months tills shes ready for more upgrades.

My wife drove a 2019 JLUR in the new "Bikini" color with the one-touch sky top today and fell in love.
She said she would still rather have a Gladiator though... Damn, I love her. LOL.

Yeah, I enjoy driving this Jeep about as much as I did driving my Raptor. It gets up and moves without any issues with the 35s.

So I feel kind of dumb, but glad I figured things out. Ever since putting the lift on, it’s rode quite rough. I figured we just needed to get some weight (bumpers, winch, etc) on it to get to to be a bit more plush. I had turned the shocks dial all the at to soft and it was still pretty harsh. Today I took a closer look at the shocks and found there’s a second micro dial. Turned that all the way soft as well and now it rides infinitely better. Not used to having all the adjustments :D

Caleb, did you notice ant big difference in power loss or performance increasing to 35" tires? I assume you didn't regear?

No regear and I honestly didn’t drive it enough before to say I noticed any difference in power. I can say that if I’m not careful when pulling out quickly, I’ll smoke the tires pretty easily. There’s plenty of power with this little engine.
Missed this earlier.

Nice ride. I'm sure it'll provide fun for years.

Thanks! My wife and son are loving it. My son loves to correct us when we refer to the Jeep as anything other than “his Jeep”
