UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
I have no problems using HF stands. There are SO many other HF items that they need to increase their quality control on though.

I haven't shopped HF for a couple years now. I think they have stepped up their quality on a large portion of their items.. but they have also stepped up their prices. A large majority of what I want can be bought in better brands at Home Depot for cheaper.

I have some HF wrenches that I prefer over my craftsman's, so they're not all bad (even if their stores do smell like shrimp ramen and durian).
Many HF items work perfectly fine for us garage warriors. That's who they're marketing to. I steer clear of most of their electrically powered tools, but a good portion of their hand tools are ok.

If you're a wrench turner by trade, or a tool snob, you should probably shop elsewhere.

I just had to look up what durian is.

So... Update. The orange jack had a broken caster. I took today off of work to get several projects done on the Jeep. I really needed the jack for this, so I had to drive into Salt Lake to exchange the jack. They didn't have the same model, so I went for the aluminum 3 ton jobby. I was pretty irritated about the jackin around with jacks, so I swung by BeWilder and grabbed a couple crowlers to improve my mood.

I want a rapid pump aluminum one!
How much do they weigh?
My slow pump cast iron beast seems to be fine still.
I got the style that the pad unscrews up to get more reach for my big Jeep. I serviced it last year. A couple o-rings and $7 hydraulic Jack oil should last another decade.

HF is not longer showing any of their steel stands on the website, and only 3 ton aluminum stands. I can't find a reason online. Anyone have some insight?

23 years the jack in the background lasted.... Hope the "Craftsman" gives similar service. (It's what they had at Lowes when I needed to complete some EJS prep. Jack is probably great for my Buick. Kind of low profile even for a TJ on 35" tires.) 16493051368237988007055803794722.jpg

Well, I have already returned the Craftsman and grabbed a Torin from Cal Ranch. Hopefully it's more betterer.

Craftsman wouldn't release in a controlled manner and it just wasn't a good fit for my rigs.
