I need to be schooled in SXS's

Yet still, the Yamaha motor had a ton of assembly problems and guys were losing them under 500 miles. The transmissions were also blowing on several guys I rode with. Rear axle shafts were coming apart after a weekend ride, on the first year Textrons. They've since fixed the axle shaft issue.

My Textron XX had cracked welds on both lower A arms when I sold it. That was a super common issue.

It's not just Textron/Artic Cat. My neighbor's Rzr was new last year and it's been in the shop half the time he's owned it. Front diff and drive shaft problems.
Agree 100%. Everything you outlined is one of the reasons Robby severed his partnership and has gone on to develop his own machine. None of the machines are built to the standard you would expect with what you pay for them. Pretty much an over priced heap of plastic and bolts that require a ton of constant maintenance........pretty much like a camp trailer

A camp trailer is a great comparison. 😂

Anyone have any experience with the Polaris Ace? Particularly the 570 version? Looking at a play toy to explore with been debating on a traditional ATV but have been looking at the Ace. I’d like something I can fit in my truck without a trailer, generally by myself anyway so don’t need a second seat. Just wondering if they didn’t catch on for stability issues since they don’t have the width of a razer and can’t shift your weight like you can on an ATV.

Handful for sale on KSL they appeal because they’ll fit on an ATV trail and fit in my truck with no trailer. Also loads cheaper than a rzr and in some cases significantly cheaper than an ATV as well.

Call Corbin at ADS. He’ll give the skinny. I’ll point him to this thread @cbryson

I don’t think they caught on as most people want the sxs to haul multiple people. A single seat is not too much different that a good quad. At least that’s my reason for not being interested in them. 🤷🏼‍♂️

We have it's slightly larger 2 seat brother.
It is a 2014 RZR 570.

The thing is a blast. It is tiny and a real rattle trap compared to the Teryx.
It has a 2" lift on it with some 25" Terrabite tires, a rear dust net, roof, doors and a half windshield.

It will wind out to 60mph but is pretty happy around 25-35mph. It doesn't pull hard G's out of the corners like the large displacement machines but it is so small it feels like you're in a Mario Cart. The little mule rocks. It is not super stable like the Teryx's but it is a much different platform. I imagine the lift makes it a bit more tippy but it is kind of part of it's charm.

It is much quieter inside than the T4's. It has been flawless and I just replaced it's first belt and did a complete fluid service.

Holy crap, I’m hooked. Been able to spend several hours ripping around sand hollow in a can am. These things are a blast, but my hell they are loud, even with foamies in my ears they’re still ringing.

Started negotiations on an ACE guess we’ll see next weekend. Don’t expect it will be anything like the can am but I’m sure it will still be proper fun.

The Ace isn't as loud or expensive, that's for sure.

I did a thing 😳. Just had too much damn fun in the two seater. Feel like Ricky Bobby. Swore I’d never own one, but hopefully can educate the other side of the crowd while I’m out and about. Saw plenty of jackasses in full-size rigs doing dumb things in my last few outings so the stupidity isn’t isolated.

I bought a krx1000, ordered it 6 months ago, finally got it, chose the krx1000 due to rumors of its rock crawl ability, and past experience with owning a teryx4 that I owned for 5 years without any issues. probably the slowest of the 1000's. Recently learning how much accessories can drain your bank account .

Yep, definitely the right choice for an “out of the box” crawler. The 99” WB is certainly helpful vs. many of the 2 seater options out there. The dual clutch design is where the magic happens, applying smooth non-jerky power that’s different than most the competition. Overbuilt and a bit heavy, but few weak points. Unless there’s been an update to the factory steering knuckles, consider upgrading them.

Definitely the best out of the box SXS for crawling. I wish the seating position in them was more like the X3s, and they made a 4 seater. I was strongly considering one until I drove it. To me, it was like sitting in a lawn chair.

My dad loves his through. Threw some 35" roxzillas on it, modified the knuckles, and did some other work to it, but he loves it.
