Seems pretty rad.

Those SVO's were cool. That 2.3L Turbo 4 was a slick motor for its day. Only had 205HP, but the 302 V8 of the day only had around 220hp, so not bad. Plus the SVO was lighter and handled better. If I was ever in the market for a Fox Body 'Stang, this is the one I'd be after.

Damn it... I was really hoping you or someone would say, "these things are stupid, don't waste your time." I wasn't even in the market for a fox body until I saw this today and started reading about it, never even crossed my mind ha.

I have dreamed of an SVO 2.3 turbo in a Ranger since I was about 18. There was a guy in UT that was making lots of boost with some mods, it was fast.

Seems pretty rad.

I ran around with a couple guys in Utah county that had SVO Fox body Mustangs. One friend had his completely stock engine running 23 pounds of boost with a 100 horse shot of nitrous to help cool it down.

I was out with him one day and we raced one of the brand new MK4 sequential turbo Toyota Supra's (2JZ?) that were amazingly fast, for a production car. The SVO Mustang barely beat the Supra in the quarter mile, without the nitrous.

The owner of the Supra was PISSED,. He asked us to wait for 30 minutes and he came back with his Kawasaki ZX7 sport bike. It was the fastest production sport bike at the time and also near new.

Him leaving gave us enough time to get the nitrous working properly. 😁 With the nitrous, the ZX7 lost and the ratty old 1984 Mustang just squeeked out the win.

So yeah, SVO 2.3's are rad.

Hyundai is the undisputed king of automotive design right now with everything from the stunning Ioniq 5, to the clean crisp Sonata, and the practical but fun Veloster. They released their N Vision 74 concept today. A hydrogen hybrid EV concept designed to give you all the benefits of an EV and the range of liquid fuel all packaged in what is probably the most exciting concept I've seen from any manufacturer in years.

I doubt that this will ever get built, but if they do something even remotely similar, they can take my money.
