LOL that doesnt mean I jinxed you....:p I saw that yota down there also, one sick beast!!! So he drive it everywhere, and doesnt get harassed about it?? I am jealous....that is one of the thing I hated about owning my jeep when I had it....It seemed like no matter what I did, UHP would not leave me alone!!!

Anyway, my trip report and vids are coming up....I tried to seee if I could edit them and such, but I cant, so I have to load them directly from my phone :(

Yup everywhere. Moab, around town and such. He built it from the frame up. He's a good builder, driver, and a great person. He is one of my good friends and is awesome to wheel with.

Man where do I start! What a FUN WEEKEND!!! I had an all out blast, weather was AWESOME, and everyone down there was fun to hang out with and go on the trails with.

It was great to meet more RME'rs and put faces with names. It was great to meet mbryson, rockreligous, and anyone else I forgot (I am tired) It was also great to see old friends again.

Friday we did Johns trail, and 2 obstacles in we had a rollover. A guy in a really nice TJ flipped over backwards in the same place Dave Card flipped over backwards in his LJ last year (video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFb0bwyBNEM&NR )Here is a pic of the Jeep, I didnt get any video of his roll, but he did basically the same thing Dave did, when the front end got light, he stayed on the gas, and it just went up and over :-\ luckily, his wasnt a full over backwards roll, and his rear stinger took a good portion of the hit.

we got him righted up, and we continued on down the trail. Lots of fun, with lots of different obstacles, and lines throughout the trail. My dad tried this obstacle, but since his tires werent broke in, they werent grabbing.

Rest of the day was a blast! At lunch, the J4F boys were out playing on a wall that Doug in his buggy wasnt able to make (but saved a possible roll over backwards)

After the trail was over, John took a small portion of the group back over to the playground (where th guy rolled earlier that day) and took us through the back way known as "the Spine" you come up onto a ledge, and either side is a drop off probably around 30-50 ft. It joins right up with the playground. And everyone played around in the area, and on the wall.

MORE TO COME TOMORROW, I NEED SOME SLEEP

I apologize for all my commentary in the videos.....-_-

We had a blast out on milts mile and sand hollow:), to be honest the whole trip rocked!
We had a ruff start though:rolleyes:. I was going with my good friend brandon, he was getting some long arms put on his big dodge the day we left, well it took longer than planned.

I had school that day so I didnt get done and down to salt lake till 9:30 but my buddy didnt finish his truck till 11:30 thursday night! So we ended up leaving about midnight. Stopped in lehi to get a trailer for my rig which didnt even end up working out:mad:, got to st. george at 6:00am.

We slept a hour then got up and went to the event, my buddy had to still adjust the steering drag link so we missed out trail group leaving and had to catch up. When finally on the trail, which we went on because the dodge didnt have a locker yet, we discovered the new lift created to much of a front drive line angle and the yokes were rubbing!:(
So Brandon left the trail and we continued. To top it all i only had a 1/4 tank of gas and i didnt know the trail was 45miles long. So 1/3 of the way through we cut out to the highway got gas and then tryed to catch the group but ended up running the trail by our selfs

Saturday though went great we ran milts mile with Pelygros and Ric from RME as we as brandon now riding in the 4runner and had a great time. I did get hung up once on the back right corner of my bumper and had to get pulled out and i damaged a wheel and the bead started to leak but i had a good spare, you can see the pic above of me stuck back wheels off the ground:greg:. Other than that nothing broke or went wrong we loved the weather and trails hope to go back soon!

We had a blast at our first Southwest Crawlfest. Met some awesome people. The turbo 4runner drove 6 hours out, crawled and dune shredded all weekend, and drove 6 hours home. Only small hiccup was an old worn out alt belt. We ran Milt's Mile on Friday and Upper West Rim on Sat. We have a bunch of video but not many pics. Here are a couple vids to start. I will get the rest on here over the next couple days. Thanks to everybody for an awesome weekend.

It is because of instances like this that I think Mr. Bryson is one of the best drivers I have had the pleasure of meeting. He knew exactly what his rig could do and was mature enough to know better than to continue to attempt the climb. I have seen more than a few times where Mr. Bryson has completed a climb that I did not think would have been possible. Kudos to you Mr. Bryson.

Thanks for the compliment. I'd rather have someone make fun of me (99% of the time it'd be good natured and I'm way cool with that), than be a pain in the arse and have people helping me pick up my Jeep and clean the trail up. Things happen often enough (as proved later that day on the same trail) where you need help from your group. I don't think you need to go trying to make stuff you know you're just going to a) break, b) roll over (unless your rig rolls without serious damage--say a buggy) c) take an hour taking unlimited amounts of attempts at xyz obstacle.

It's fun to try stuff and push your limits a little, but if you get on an obstacle that you KNOW is going to be a total disaster, why do it? Save yourself some $ and the people with you the time. It's all in the fun factor. My Jeep is NOT supposed to do half the crap it does routinely. Somehow it does it. That climb is a wheelbase climb unless you've got a sweet rear suspension to absorb the hit on the face. I don't have the coolest suspension on a trail. My rig makes it through the trail more often than not. A fair amount of time dragging someone's broken parts or broken rig with it. If that climb is a mandatory climb on a trail, I'd just winch up it. Takes 5-10 min, but is faster than a rollover or severe breakage.

I'm pretty happy with it.

Exactly. I still am amazed with your driving. Bart is another one of those fellas who's driving skills flat amazes me. I hope that some day I may get the chance to wheel with you and Bart again. Truly inspiring.

Alright to continue my trip report!

So saturday we hit The Maze, the day after Vic's son-in-law tookhis hard front flip roll, and adam from Rebel Offroad took his hard roll. The trail starts out dropping down a wall, and then continues on from there. One FUN trail!!!
IMG_0522.jpg

IMG_0523.jpg

IMG_0524.jpg

From there a ways, we head over to where Adam had hishard rollover. it is a gnarly wall, that likes to kick your rig to the left, then spit you out, and roll you down the hill. T&T Customs was there with us (great group of ppl, would wheel with them again) and one of there group had a super BEAUTIFUL TJ that I drooled all over:) well he hit the wall, and it did just that, it kicked him off to the left, and it tipped him up on his side. Luckily the rock was there to keep him from rolling all the way to the bottom, and he wasnt on the throttle. The jeep actually came out with very little damage.

once we got him winched up, my dad gave it a go.

after the trail was over, we headed over to the lunch stop. where there was a LOT of entertainment going on. Mike in the Maxxis buggy was putting on a show, and climbing a wall everyone had to try. Steve rolled on it once, sat out a turn or too, and gave it another shot. Only to roll again. Then Chandler tried it, and rolled. Steve put som air out of the tires, and then walked righ up it. After that our buddy James tried it, and showed everyone up, walking up it on his second try.

After lunch, we took the "scenic" way back to the trucks. and stopped at the "wall of doom" James gave it a couple good tries, and then got up it. My dad gave it a couple trys before throwing his power steering belt, and so we fixed it and headed back to the trucks.

Sunday we hit Johns Trail again, and hit a lot of obstacles we missed the first day out. One being a big wall.

We left early so we could get home at a descent time, but we had a hose keep blowing off the turbo on pops truck. Did it twice before we hit cedar city, but about 3 hours later, we got it on and good for the rest of the drive home. Got home around 9:30 PM.

All in all, I had an all out blast!! and I CANT WAIT for next year!!!:D:D:D

again...sorry for all the stupid commentary..... -_-

I talked to Bob about that quasi-roll. He said it was a near miss! glad somebody got video. Looked like he got away with just a small dent in his windshield frame

Marc: you know I was just messing with you with the title of that video: I didn't make that climb either ;)
