I've got a spare t-case with 4.24's installed in it, along with slip-yoke eliminators, and they'll be going in at the same time as the undertaker.

I like the height too steve i think it is just right at least in the pics. The possiblities for the future are there too, 35's and a roll cage and you could have a comp crawler. I know i know you just want a mild wheeler but hey you never know right

I'll have to re-measure tonight now that it's settled a little. I'll probably be going with 14" coils in the front instead of 16" coils. THe front still sits a little high. But it rides great.

call low range and ask but i think its some where like 500 miles for coils to settle or at least 5 good trails i would see what happens u might be pleasently surprised

EDIT: my sliders didn't bend, I just thought they did.

the contour of the rocker panels makes it tough to just fab a quick one up. and I don't have a bender. The bumpers are legit, so I thought the sliders would be too.

don't you think that if i knew it was a flimsy slider I wouldn't have purchased it?

I'd hope so, but, I don't know you; so I cannot answer your question.

I didn't mean to poke the wound with the question either. I am honestly curious why you didn't choose to make your own set, as you obviously have the capabilities to do so.

sorry, I overreacted. I guess I'm kinda frustrated they didn't work, sorry to take it out on you.

EDIT: the sliders did not bend

I hear ya, I'd be furious. Have you talked to anyone about a refund? I'd threaten to throw them through someone's shop front window. But maybe that's just me. ;)

Ok, I'm a dufus. Now that it's not midnight I took a better look at what my door was catching on, and it was only the little plastic trim piece on the rocker panel. I feel a lot better now. I still may be beefing up those arms, but maybe not.

yeah, I guess I should have looked at it when I was awake instead of midnight after a long wheeling trip...

That's the good kind of mistakes I want to make though :)

After going back and looking at the sliders, I would try to beef up the mounting.

On some rigs you can tie them into the body mount (frame side) to help with the frame flex.

Mine were attached to the toy frame in 4 places, I still bent the frame where they attach and pushed them up.

...

the main slider part is super beefy, but with only two legs connecting it to the frame, I guess that wasn't enough. I know a few people who've been running them without problems, so I assumed they'd be fine.

A guy here bought a set and didn't mount them because they don't work with his 3" body lift. He's going to sell them or send them back. He says they have the 2 frame mounts plus 2 mounts that attach to the stock link mounts. Did you do the link mounts?

I'm curious, because he was really surprised that they didn't hold up for you. Of course, he hasn't tried his yet.

see post 355. My sliders didn't bend, I overreacted. I thought it was the sheet metal, but it was just the plastic moulding.

The rear part of the sliders kinda attach to the rear link mounts, and the front part attaches to the body mount to stiffen it up some. I'll still be reinforcing it either way.
