Hey Everyone, I've got a stripped down CJ5 that i am ready to upgrade. what i want to do is take my frame, dana 60 front, and corp 14 rear to a shop and have them build me a link suspension with possibly airshocks. Just want to make sure it's done right by guys who know what they're doing...

Thanks for the help, it is the toyota axles. im thinkin that i might just try to find a rear 4.10 3rd and swap the front and rear both to 4.10 because it is so hard to find a front 4.30

Is a front 3rd member the same as a rear? in other words are they interchangeable. Sorry if it's a dumb question, but i need a smart answer:laughing:

my initial guess is the ring and pinion or maybe the automatic lock (cant remember what it's called) got any idea how much it costs to have the ring and pinion done?

i have a cj5 that i am ready to swap the 60/14 into. unfortunately being strapped for cash forces me to put my 4 link and air shock dreams to the side and go with leaf springs. so the question... anyone had any experience with the conversion kits you can buy, and what were your impressions...

what about the u joints? are the stock ones up to the task? also, will i have to replace the carrier to go to higher gears? i think the ones in them are 4:10? when do they start getting weak... 5:38? thanks a lot for all the help so far.

I just got a srw 60 from a 81 chevy one ton. i am going to put it, and the matching 14 bolt in my cj5 that has a 350, 465 trans and a 205 transfer case. I am wondering what should i upgrade first on the 60? I have been trying to read up on it and it seems like the 30 spline stub shafts are the...
