One option I found a while ago that seemed pretty budget friendly but still had good reviews Is Twin Busch. https://www.twinbusch.com/index.php?cPath=1 They have a warehouse in Vegas if you don't mind taking a trip down there you could save some shipping costs.

I have an H6 outback for my Gambler 500 car. The extra power is nice, but you'll be lucky to get 20mpg from it.

That broken piece is the compound slide, a very critical precision fitted part of the machine. That will probably end up as a parts lathe. Good luck

Unfortunately a lot of the HSS cutting tools are probably not worth anything. I've been looking for a boring head and an indexer (rotary table). I'll pm you my number. I'd like to come check out what you have.
