Yeah, we are from the US. Our family wanted to go to a place where we could engage in a ministry and help people. We chose Ecuador because we had circumstances that would allow us to make a modest US income while living in a country with low cost of living. We considered other places, like SE...

There is an estimate of 5,000-10,000 Americans living in Cuenca. This is a beautiful country, and Cuenca sits at about 8,300 feet above sea level and is surrounded by mountains. The cost of living is low and it is easier to have a healthy lifestyle here. Advice...if someone is serious about...

These are rare in Cuenca, where I live. Quito seems to have more of the older (not sure I want to say restored because they keep things maintained here like in Cuba) American brands. However, there is a beautiful step side for sale in my city...

The seller wrote that it had a "Caja L, 1, 2, 3" and I imagined he meant a 3 Spd with the low ratio option.

Yeah, that would be great! Not available here and if they were, $$$$$. Lot's of FJ62's and mid-90's Cruisers. Most of those are pretty beat.

The American trucks are rare here. But something not available in the USA...how about the Lada Niva? You might need to get out to help push it up a hill, but they are cool little 4x4's

Hey everybody! I moved to Ecuador a few years ago and finally will be buying a truck. Limited options, here. I'm a little out of my element here and was hoping some of you might weigh in and help me decide :D I am between 2 vehicle. Both are quite a distance from me, so I need to have some kind...
