well the diffence between the 12a and the 13b is more cid of course but alot less vacuum lines the 12a is a nightmare ive owed both and would prefer the 13b over the 12a any day and if you really like to just go open it up that motor can take the abuse and you can find rebuild kits for them now...
i installed a ford 8.8 rear axle out of a exploder and i love it i abuse the hell out of it i know its a c lip axle but it feels alot more solid than the chrysler 8.25 i had in it plus it is just way more beefy than a 35 0r 8.25...and they are really easy to install.....
