Got an ax5 making noise, bought an ax15 with bellhousing, transfer case outf a 1998 with a 6 cyc. will the bellhousing bolt right up to my 2.5? 4.88 will give you good torque even in 5th gear. I had 4.10 and a good head wind would force me to shift to 4th. I wouldn't go any lower than 488's because the pinion gear gets to small and becomes a weak link.

Thanks but the spline count in from the trans to the transfer case. I have both. I was told it would bolt right to my engine. But it looks like the bellhousing might be too big for the engine. Can i use the ax5 bellhousing on the ax15?

Does anyone know if you can just bolt up an ax15 to a 2.5 engine? I have the bell housing, trans, and transfer case. what else do i need? thanks, Bluecrawler
