Great idea. I like the quick release wheel on the stock column. Keeps the electrical simple. Also, the adjustments, nice touch. Keep the posts coming, good job!

I like it! Being 2WD, approx. how long will the rear drive shaft be? (Much longer than if a T-case was hanging off the back!) Keep postin', I love this build! I found this pic on the interweb a few years back. It too is ultra cool!

If you want a J-truck to start with, I have this for sale: Fully caged J-10 cab, welded in with dimple plates (defroster ducts still in place). The frame has been cut off behind the cab and tubed, set up for links & coil-overs. I'll sell what you see for $750. It has "hundeerds" of hours...

I have the rear bumper finished, and had been thinking about a swing-out tire rack for a while. I wanted the look of a race-truck / pre-runner with the tire hanging out the back, but needed bed access too. Here is what I came up with: Works great and no rattles! Now it goes to powder coating.

I didn't want the stock J-truck mirrors that hang way out (and are chrome, yuk!), so I got some XJ side mirrors and had to build mounts to install them on the doors. I used DayStar JK hood louvers to let some of the heat escape. And here is the "almost" finished project. I'm still...

Actually, it came from the factory that way!. I don't know what year or any other details. I found it on E-bay. I did clean it and painted it black with vinyl dye.
