    phoenix anyone???

Yeah, the summers are hot, but believe it or not you will get used to it. I did. Winter wheeling is excellent, summer wheeling is all night runs. There are lot of good places to go wheeling close to Tempe and if you want to run to the other side of town, even more. I definately miss the...

    welded ujoint caps

Yes, it definately helps but you have to be careful when welding them. I put four small tacks on mine. I will only have them welded with a tig, this helps to keep the heat down and not ruin the shaft or cap. I originally learned this trick from a friend in AZ that runs competition buggies...

ok, I realize this thread is seriously old, but I am trying to find a phone number for MS Concptions, the one above does not appear to be correct. Are they still around? I hear that JR is great to work with. Any idea how to get in touch with them?

I have a ton of pics of the different areas down there, but it would be easier to just go to www.azrockcrawler.com and check out his trip reports section.

    arizona wheeling

Florence Junction is closer to Chandler than Table Mesa, but both are fairly close. I know quite a few other wheelers down there as well that would be willing to show you around a...

    Crankcase backpressure

I did a compression test on it and the compression is good. all cylinders were close to 150psi. I question the valves/rockers because when they were originally adjusted the guy that didn't seem too concerned with making sure they were all the same. Just wrenched on them while the engine was...

    Crankcase backpressure

I have an early 80's SB350 that seems to have an excessive amount of crank case back pressure. I have the PCV valve installed and it is NOT plugged. When running on the highway at rpms around 3000 it will blow the oil dipstick out of its seated position. I installed a valve cover breather...

    Gear brands??

Hmm, not the first time I have heard that, but no one has told me why?

    Gear brands??

I am getting ready to buy some gears and have found a fairly large price difference between different brands of gears. Is there really that big of a difference in the gears themselves? Which gears would you recommend, or not, and why?
