Well even if I'm just sitting around staring at it a lot, I'll still have a smile on my face. To us it's "Priceless" the journey there and time spent with family and friends as a group effort can't be bought.
Just to verify I don't have two bad 02s we went over to my uncle's Studebaker that also has a sniper on it, ended up just taking his 02 to my truck, same reading of 35.6 afr. 🫤. Gotta be a bad driver in my sniper.
We also noticed for whatever reason they mounted his 02 way past the H pipe...
We already got plenty of paint damages, I still need to run it through the gears, gear vendor, brakes to verify everything is good. Little more time.
Also it doesn't have any of the jewelry on yet.
For sure, got to hit that cutout switch. 😁 actually looking into it more the sniper 2 isn't as plug and play as I thought, might order another sniper 1 unit, pay to get this one fixed and have a spare? We can test the 02's on my uncles Studebaker just to verify we don't have 2 bad ones, his...
Since this is all I "work on" she's up and running but not right, have had nothing but issues with the Holley sniper. I bought the thing like 8 years ago, no warranty, I think I might just cut my loss and order the sniper 2 since we're already wired and hope that fixes the issue. The AFR has...
It's getting real now. I have been invited to put the truck in at the Cache Valley Cruise In for the "Top Rods of Utah". Only 15 vehicles in there and 18,000 spectators expected.
Stupid weather... I can't get good pics of this till it's done and out of the shop.
I still haven't even driven it. Not sure if we're making it to Hurricane? Rain? I don't know yet.
Been fighting these filler panels my brother made, stuff just isn't fitting.
Tailgate on.
Upholstery is pretty well done.
I'm happy with it.
I gotta finish getting the front filler...
See if this helps with some of the heat? fuel lines and some wires up above.
Rear bumper and filler panel, having some fitment issues now with some of the small filler panels. See if we can't readjust some things next time.
Hopefully take it for a shakedown soon?
Wait there's more, back panel in, seat belts bolted up, tossed one of the seats down just to see. Having trouble with the added leather and a seam on the pleating interfering with the window crank handle escutcheon and dropping the pin in the handle.
Finally putting crap together, we're just winging it doing everything ourselves. Certainly not without it's flaws, mistakes, lessons. Overall should be a fun truck. Not going to be any hiding that big block when it's running.
Bed strips and wood all bolted down.
Throwing in all that...
