    Pick My Next Truck

My last gasser was a GMC 2500HD with the 8.1 so mileage is of little concern to me. So long as it’s reliable and serves its purpose, I’ll give it the fuel it needs. Sounds like I should take a trip to go look at this one and see how it drives.

    Pick My Next Truck

I suppose my vision of a practical all-around pickup may vary. Relative to my previous dually diesel, an F-350 is “more practical”. I fear I may have the opposite experience - I’ll buy a half ton and be disappointed and end up needing a bigger truck. I’m kind of erring on having more truck than...

    Pick My Next Truck

Thanks for this feedback. My other online reading has suggested that they are pretty reliable trucks. I’ve seen mention of water pumps being problematic (easy to fox) and oil burning beginning around 150k. Having previously owned an 8.1 Chevy, I’m not concerned about feeding an engine some oil...

    Pick My Next Truck

Thanks. I know the newer 6.7’s are pretty nice, but I’m just looking for a cheap ish all-around practical truck. If I were to get another diesel, it’d be a pre-emissions model. All of the newfangled diesels with their electronics and other gizmos aren’t really my thing.

    Pick My Next Truck

So I went and got this the other day for my wife. Still on the hunt for my truck, but the 5.7 Toyota pulled this load pretty decently up and over Soldier Summit back to CO. Affirms that a Tundra would likely work. However, I’m considering a 2011 F-350 with the 6.2 gasser with 167k on it. As I...

    Pick My Next Truck

Well, I think I’m pursuing a Tundra. Who wants to sell me theirs?!?!

The simplistic interior is just what I want. I hate electronics, lights, etc. Leather seats aren’t high on my list either. All of your highlights are exactly why the Tundra is my #1 choice right now.

I’ve owned a 7.3 F-250 before, so I’m aware of their quirks and their longevity. If I get another diesel, it will be a 7.3 Ford.

I’m leary of the eco boost after the issues Greg has had with his. Having just had a couple of Dodges, I’m pretty much over their interiors and electrical gremlins.

    Pick My Next Truck

The Tundra is my first choice as of now. The longevity and reliability of Toyota makes up for the lack of towing ability. I’d probably be pulling a pontoon boat regularly, but those are pretty darn light.

    Pick My Next Truck

I’ve now sold my buggy and Dodge 3500 dually and will be looking for a practical all-around pickup. I’m presently entertaining the following, which would you choose and why or why not? Potential uses: Towing pontoon boat Hauling dirt bikes Ability to pull a car trailer Hunting, fishing...

    Krazy Ks new build.

Wow, that seems like a crazy amount of damage from a single roll! Glad to see everyone was ok. Having just fixed a bunch of damage from a roll myself, and a series of not-so-great wheeling trips, it is very discouraging/frustrating. Push through and get it back together!

Kids in the back seat of older jeeps...

After screwing around with trying to get a car seat secure in the previous bench seat in my buggy, I opted for this for our 3-4 year old. Racetrim kids seat, custom Crow harness. I had many suggestions to use ratchet straps, but didn’t feel comfortable with it.

General Tech Degreaser - how would you clean this?

So here’s another one, I put my buggy on its lid yesterday and during the recovery it lost some fluids directly into my cloth drivers seat. Any tips or tricks to extract/flush out the oil? Every time I sit down in it, I end up with an oily butt.
