That depends on the size of tire you run. If you are running bigger than a 37" tire (depending on who you ask) and you have 15 inch rims you run a greater risk of sidewall roll/buckle.
The KM2's are on backorder at Discount. I can get them for $195 a piece.
The Maxxis Bighorns are $50 more per tire than the KM2's?????? I thought they were supposed to be well priced??
I'm ordering the BFG's :)
FYI
If the motor mount bolts on the right side are broken off and the engine has shifted 2 inches the fan will rub on your steering stabilizer bar. :0
Transfer case is ok.
The other night backing out of my driveway I heard a loud grinding noise. It lasted for a couple of seconds and then went away. At first I thought it might have been the fan rubbing on the fan shroud but after investigation I found the shroud was tight and there was no rubbing.
Then yesterday...
My wife thanks you guys :) Oh and by the way the 4.88's aren't bad on the highway with 33's. I am always surprised to see how many people go with 4.56's. 4.88's rule.
I'm not even running 35's yet. It's just that I would like to ditch the 33's and go to 35's. My D30 is HP with no vacuum. You think I should stick with it?
I appreciate your advice given the amount of previous experience you have had with the XJ.
One thing that is making me wonder if this is something I should do is the fact that my XJ already has a dana 44 rear that is set up with 4.88's and a detroit. I'm not sure it makes sense to get rid of that in favor of a full-width 9".
The waggy front sounds good but I'm having a hard time...
