Hole In the Rock, Red Canyon, Blue Notch, & other trails in danger - We need help!

PARKING It has come to my attention (thanks Stephen) that the metered street parking hours changed when Salt Lake City installed the new meters. Free parking does not start until 8PM. That is my bad (I take TRAX so I don't drive or park downtown and had not noticed the change). As such, I will...

Thanks to Marlin from Lone Peak 4 Wheelers and Steve with RME for getting together all you RME volunteers to get that done. The...

    Stay the trail... Utah edition?

Similar to what I was about to type. Tread Lightly's focus/ efforts are very similar. Utah Trail Patrol still exists, it is currently managed/ run by the Utah State Parks OHV Division, but it is not supported very well by the 4x4 user groups. I think a few ATV clubs are active with them. To my...

USFS: Fishlake NF: 2012 Travel Maps Now Available

U4WDA has been in conversation with the Fishlake NF and it appears that they have no intent on providing these maps online anytime soon. It would be several years at the soonest. However, I picked up a paper copy of the Beaver RD and Loa RD maps at the Loa Ranger Station last week (just one...

    Glacier National Park

Awesome pic! Glacier is one of my favorite places in this world, try to go at least every other year. Yikes! I've had my big toe in Lake McDonald several times, but that's about all I could stand. It's gotta be the coldest water in the lower 48.
