    Whole house backup generator

I have the poor man's setup and it has worked great for us. I have a 8k dual fuel (Gasoline and LPG) Champion that I also modded to run on NG. The NG and LPG drop the output but unless the house NG is disturbed we're OK. This last outage had me wanting a smaller generator since the 8k is loud...

    Whole house backup generator

My Dad had a 24kw Generac installed at his place this spring. He could get away with less but he wanted everything to work as normal with no thought to doing anything out of the ordinary. He might need to run both ovens, the AC and dry a load of laundry. I think that is how they sell such large...

    Tire recommendations

If you are mostly commuting I'd have no problem running some Michelin LTX AT2's. For something more aggressive I've been happy with the KO2's on my 4Runner or the Toyo AT2's or AT3's. I have 40k on my F350 with the AT2's.

    Does anyone know why....

That was my thought as well. More like they were "escorting or protecting" her. I don't know what the vibe was and I'm sure it was uncomfortable, intimidating and unwelcome but perhaps that wasn't the intent. Providing a "service".

    Help reading my gas meter

Holy smokes. We received our Dominion Energy gas bill for 9/1-10/1 and our usage has gone up nearly 7 times and our bill was $70 MORE than normal. I have a pic of the meter and I was hoping for verification/education that I'm reading it correctly. I read the meter as 2131. It looks like...

    Wanted OBS FORD nerf bars

Dang! The red truck doesn't happen to be a two tone OBS with a brush guard does it? Has a custom center support welded to the frame?

Did anyone's fall cleaning produce a set of steps?

    Your Pic of The Day

This was our 18 month old Lab's first experience breaking through the ice. She didn't know what to think about being able to walk a few steps then splash.

    Rot Box’s Superduty

Necessary upgrade. When he first purchased the truck there were receipts for 1 injector replacement. The truck would not cold start without the block heater plugged in and he blew 3 coolant degas bottles while towing heavy. We immediately replaced the up-pipes, turbo, added gauges and a PHP...

    Rot Box’s Superduty

Congrats! How many miles are on her? If you're doing glow plugs you may as well get some new under valve cover harnesses. We just finished up a set of GP's, injector cups, injectors, harnesses, turbo and a CNCFab fuel upgrade on my buddies '02. Maybe do a cylinder contribution/buzz test to...

High winds in SLC valley tomorrow

Sorry Dave. It's a bummer but you're right, lots of our neighbors are far worse off than us. I had a tough time finding fuel, the Common Cents on 500W has gas and diesel.

High winds in SLC valley tomorrow

70ish ft Little leaf lindon has been relocated onto the neighbors house. Might lose a sweetgum and a couple birches...sure hope not. Power has been out since 4am.
