Welcome to UT. Being military, I do find it an insult how much UT authorizes the flag to be flown at half-mast. In the case of Hinckley I am a bit torn as he does not fit the criteria neccesary but was probably one of the greatest men of our century.

I think the world will be a colder place without Hinckley. As a non member I still knew of him and admired him.

Thats what happens in a society that tries to be TOO good, it breeds sickness. Not that you don't find this elsewhere, it just seems to happen more here, if you look at the statistics.
