Thanks for all the comments. I talked to RL today and I'll be going to get the bushing to make it close to the same travel. Ideal would be to have the ram stroke the sam as the stops. If not the same then slightly shorter so you are using the ram as a stop.

cool thanks for the insight. I have an 8" ram but where I'm going to mount it is about 7.5 to 7.75. so I'll need to get a bushing. If I used the stop on the knuckle, what is the effect? extra wear or broken ball joints? thanks

Has anyone ported a YJ steering box for ram assist? Anyone got any pics to help out. The one side of the piston looks pretty easy to find a spot but the other side look pretty tight. I would rather not port the end of the box since the fitting would be right out in front to get damaged. Thanks...
