That'd be cool.^^^ I'll have to check them out. Ogden Bike Park is two blocks from me, so maybe I'll find some locals to ride with there too.

I just picked up a new to me bike. It appears to be in almost new condition, but I'm sure it needs a good once over. What are some must have bike specific tools do you guys suggest I get? I know I could pay a shop $100 to go through it, but I'd rather spend that money once on tools and do it myself.

When I got back in to riding I bought a Park Tool "kit." I didn't know what half the tools did when I bought it. Most adjusting can be done with basic tools you probably already have. I recommend buying the took as you need it.

This is what I got https://www.parktool.com/product/advanced-mechanic-tool-kit-ak-3?category=Tool Kits

I feel like getting a good bike multi tool to keep with me while riding, proper sized cone wrenches, and a brake bleed kit will be a good start. The bb tool and cassette tool will be further down the road I think. I have some 3/16 steel I could make a pedal wrench out of pretty easily too.

Do you guys true your own wheels?

Looking for a ride Sunday morning. Don't much care where, Eagle Mountain and Antelope will likely be GTG but I'll ride anywhere that's dry enough. Anybody want to make a group ride out of it?

My son eats sleeps and drinks mountain biking. He also works at Bikers Edge in Kaysville in the service department putting together new bikes and servicing bikes. If you live close to us I bet I could get him to help you go through yours. I have @sixstringsteve to thank for my son’s love of all things mountain bike. Thank you Steve and I sincerely mean that.

Seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on this Polygon Siskiu N9. Fox 36 forks, Fox DPX2 rear shock. They're having free shipping currently, and list price is only $2,999. Reviews on it are great! I had previously been looking at a YT Capra, but for the same build specs, this bike is a few hundred cheaper, and apparently the warranty support is better even.

Thanks for the offer, but I ended up going to the Ogden bike collective. I learned how to rebuild my front hub, true a rim, fix a derailleur hanger, and fine tune my shifting. It's a pretty cool idea. Once I learn more I'd like to volunteer there.

I took my bike out for the first time today. I went to Ogden bike park after work for only an hour and I learned a couple of things. First, I'm way out of shape, and second, I don't belong on anything but a green right now.

Even though I was gasping for air going up every hill, it was a blast. I'm glad I live so close to this park. I think it'll help me progress much faster being able to ride it so often.

So I know it’s not a mountain bike but I know nothing about bicycles thought some of you might be able to help. I’m looking for a city bike. In the $750 ish range.

I like this one because it looks cool but know nothing like I said? Oh and I don’t care for the 3x front gears I would be into a 1x crank. Any ideas suggestions?

@jsudar and I are taking the boys (13 and 9) down to Moab next weekend (26-27) to do some riding. We will probably be camped out by klonzo (subject to change). If anyone would like to join up for camping, riding or both we would love to have you. Text or call me at 801-nine six oh fifty four seventy seven.
