Spotted this monster in front of the post office at Mammoth just inside the north entrance to Yellowstone. The guy is from Germany and had this shipped over and is touring the country. RV hand built on s military truck.

I'm sorry... But there's no way that makes sense in any kind of pre-apocolypse first world country. Ever heard of Cruise America?

Now excuse me, I need to go order some more ammo for my AR-15...

Looks like a Tatra. I went wheeling with one very similar to this many years ago near Barstow. Pretty amazing machine considering the size and weight!

I just chuckle at someone saying it doesn't make any sense... most of our vehicles probably don't make any sense to most people from a utilitarian standpoint!

This was at the park on Friday, it was beautiful! What year is it?

Mid 50's maybe 55 would be my guess, has the same front lines as 55-56 suburbans that is my all time dream truck, just can't seem to find decent 4 door in those years though. The rear step sides look about that era design as well.

I love that paint scheme.

Judging by the fender emblems it’s a 1955 second series - 1957, definitely not a 58-59. If I could see the photo better on my phone I could tell you the exact year.
