Sure, a district can choose how they want to enforce it; but with how sue happy society is, if I was the district I'd just follow the letter of the law. For example, there is currently litigation happening at a GSD high school right now regarding the outcome of the Student Body Officer elections. Yeah, really, its a thing. So just imagine the parental outrage from some quarters if GSD or Canyons said, "Yeah, F the state mask mandate! #freedakidz! YOLO!!!"
There's less than a month of school left and next year the mask mandate is gone. I think kids can handle that.

Utah's silly hat's :)rolleyes:) state wide mandate ended quite some time ago, it is on a totally district level for implementation and enforcement. There isn't any serious spread anywhere in the state, with numbers dropping everywhere and certainly no serious spread in these age groups. This is why every other school district has it lifted and of course allows anyone who wants to wear one to do so. In this particular school board meeting the superintendent and the Chair gave the public (there were many of them there) a giant middle finger in relation to their concerns. They were the childish ones last night. It was 🍿all the way around.

I agree a lot of non credible things are said in state legislatures and in Congress. (every word out of AOC) I stand corrected, I am however happy that it's being talked about in somewhat "credible" places other than on the internet.


Also happy to report our school district held a special meeting today to end the mask mandate in the district. Facts can be motivating at times.

I will throw out my other tinfoil theory that China has just subjected the world to a new form of biological warfare. And like Stephen Crowder does on college campuses.........Change my mind.
