Has the tube moved? Plug welds still intact? If it hasn’t moved pull the carrier, clean it out and smear a nice bead of rtv around where the tube meets land on the center section.
If the tube has moved, pretty good chance the center section is not happy and I would recommend starting with a new to you housing. What kind of 60 is it?

I think i saw a pic of it on FB the other day. Looked like a dynatrac 60 so not a cheap thing to start over. But im with you, if it hasnt spun, i would drain the diff, clean it up and have someone weld the tube.
