Today I Want This....

Suzuki needs to return, or Chevy needs to start with Trackers again. There is no small 4x4 anymore. I thought about finding a sidekick for kids running around and they are about gone.
All rusted away or crushed, sadly.
I don't foresee Suzuki coming back anytime soon. None of their current models are really desirable to the US market and the reason that they left after 2014 is that the niche they were in just wasn't profitable anymore.

I drool all over the Jimney's I see when traveling overseas, along with several other offroad nuts I travel with. Sadly as others have stated the market just doesn't seem to be there anymore with the main stream market in the US.

Fiat would fight tooth and nail to prevent the Jimny from coming into the US anyways. Considering what happened with the Samurais and Geos to kill their sales, and then recently the whole Roxor deal. FCA has a monopoly of the market with jeep, and they’re not about to let it go anytime soon.

Enlighten me a little on the "what happened with Samaruai's and Geo's" I like the Trackers and my Geo cars were solid.

Basically consumer reports fabricated stories that the Samurais would roll easily. Yeah any vehicle will roll, but they grossly exaggerated the samurai reports. It basically killed the sales. I’ve heard at the time, Samurais were outselling YJ wranglers 2:1. The lawsuit was only settled a few years ago.

Got it, I remember when all of this went down, I just didn't follow the thought process earlier. Thanks

I hope that troopy finds a home and brings it back to live. The owner Zach is a great guy (and great customer). He just outbid me on a BAT troopy for sale (also here in Utah) and plans to start with something a little cleaner. It was an answer in search of a problem for me so I didn't get too aggressive on the bidding :D

I drive a RHD super regularly, often daily. Manual, auto, no difference. Non-issue to me personally but can understand it would bother others.

Buy it, do a little buff and shining and it could look like this one we have at the LCHM
