Not to take away from the current garbage going on...but this is not anything new. Every administration does this crap.

It's very annoying but I really don't believe that outside of allowing us to drill more at home, the .govt has much impact on fuel prices anymore. It's too global of a commodity....with few places to get enough. Add in a war(disagree or not) with one of the producers and you get what we have.

What I feel has happened is OPEC has learned what the global threshold is for oil...and will adjust output on thr new level.
I do agree they all do it. I think the solution is less dependency. But it is very clear that that’s not happening anytime soon. Let’s release reserves to “help” with prices but refuse to let us drill on our homeland.

I’m not really one to complain about much, but I’m slightly irritated about something.

Not sure if you’ve seen the bottle deposit fee on labels if cans and bottles that say 5¢/10¢ refund whatever for states like Hawaii, California, Oregon (I’m not up to date on all the states that have joined into this program)

If you’re unfamiliar with it then what it is you pay an extra fee for bottled/canned drinks when you purchase them (like 6¢)and the incentive behind this is for motivating towards recycling as you can get most of the deposit back at an approved recycling center.

Connecticut recently joined in at the start of the year. This is going to sound like a first-world Karen complaint but in my time in Hawaii and Connecticut I’ve seen a large number of (assumingly) homeless people that make somewhat of an income by rummaging through garbage cans in search of bottles and cans.

I hate to sound like a dick but it’s so disgusting and morally appalling to me to see that happening.

I recently spent some time with 3 guys who all retired from CA Highway patrol in the last 2 years. We were talking about the homeless problem in Cali and they had pretty strong feelings supported by some stories that the majority of the homeless population in California is by choice. They each had stories of picking people up who were "homeless" but had residences. They choose to be homeless so they could pursue their drug habit or avoid living by any rules or social norms. I'm pretty irritated by Salt Lakes refusal to do anything about hundreds of thousands of dollars of property theft from individuals, not businesses, in SLC by the homeless population. They downright refuse to go into the camps to recover stolen items that are clearly identified in pictures. They will only consider it if the reporting party, THE VICTIM, has photographs of the serial numbers of stolen items sitting in the camps.

What does RME say about pistol braces?
My personal opinion as someone who doesn't own any pistol braced weapons is the ATF can pound sand. IF I did own one, no way in hell I'd be filing to paperwork to let the bastards know where it was. I think this is the hill lawful gun owners should at least stand on. A bureaucratic agency changing it's mind and making law abiding people felons for simply owning something that was legally purchased when they purchased it is over my line.

So Jo, Ut
I am hopeful the many lawsuits will get this in check.
Should the ATF be able to change course like this? No.
Are 'braces' totally cheating and turning pistols into SBR's? Yes.
Should SBR's be illegal? No.

So the REAL solution is to repeal the NFA and let SBR's and suppressors just be legal. There is no actual reason for them to be illegal, and great reasons to have them legal. It dumb politics.
But until the NFA is repealed, non compliance is the answer.
