You're A...Dog?

A pet DNA company's reliability has been called into question after it provided wildly inaccurate dog breed results...twice.

Here's what happened: A human sent in their DNA to "DNA My Dog". Her DNA identification came back 40% Alaskan Malamute, 35% Shar-pei, and 25% Labrador.

For obvious reasons, this was concerning, and it calls into question the legitimacy of these types of companies.

This is not the first time DNA My Dog's accuracy has been questioned. In a previous case, WBZ News submitted a sample from another pet owner, resulting in similarly dubious breed assignments.
