The seats needed to go back around 6" and down 2-3" for head to roll cage clearance. Unfortunately this meant the roll cage B pillar was in the way. It would have been less work to keep the current cage, but there were a lot of things I didn't like about it. So I'll be building a new cage now...

The 351W is built for torque vs HP, but the late 70's weren't kind to engine performance. I'd say it all depends on the OD ratio, axle ratio and final RPM at 65-70 mph.

That's a great option for this vehicle, just need an adapter, standalone controller and new DS. https://www.usshift.com/usq4.shtml

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

I just enjoy learning about the stock market and manging my own 401k, for a long time I've considered myself as someone who was bad with money... it's nice to see that's not always the case! I have lost some too, but the gains have been higher. I also feel better managing these account on my...

I just opened a Roth IRA, and am ready to invest in the stock market

Well, the FOMO got me.... I bought back in a couple weeks ago with my Robinhood account. I put 100% of what I had into Pinterest and it did quite well, selling today with a 40% gain. I picked up a couple more, just watching what they do. So far, my Robinhood account has seen a 120% return...

Sounds like I'm on the right track, thanks Mike! I really appreciate that Tim, that comment means a lot! I'll keep plugging away. ;) I really like them so far, the quality seems much better than the 2 pair of Corbeaus I've had. I just hope they last longer than Corbeaus, they weren't...

Then, these arrived! PRP Premier High Back Suspension Seat, Tan and Black from Morris 4x4. I decided to go with cloth so the seats aren't sticky in the warmer months And the colors seem to match the Bastard quite well. Unfortunately after test fitting them, it looks like I'm going to have...

Wanted 14 Bolt Cab and Chassis axle/hubs

That's about what I had in mind, on both parts... flap disc on a lathe for the ring gear and dipping the housing for the cut mark.

Wanted 14 Bolt Cab and Chassis axle/hubs

Oh, since this Wanted ad has turned into a Tech thread.... I think I have a line on a stock C&C 14 Bolt. Hopefully I can check it out within the next day or 2.

Wanted 14 Bolt Cab and Chassis axle/hubs

I'd be curious what the cracked were from, the weld process or lack of reinforcement on the case? There are several shave kit options out there, one of them from TMR Customs claims to use a thicker plate than the competition and doesn't require machining the ring gear. -...

Wanted 14 Bolt Cab and Chassis axle/hubs

Well, I wasn't going to ask you to do it anyway... :cody: I need to see what a local shop would charge, I know with some shops offering the 14 Bolt shave kits, they charge $45-65 to shave your ring gear. You can order a kit with gears already turned down from Ballistic, (not a fan though).

Wanted 14 Bolt Cab and Chassis axle/hubs

Yeah definitely planning to shave it... especially with 37's. The big question is how far do I take it and do I want to turn down the ring gear for the most amount clearance? My understanding is that if I go that far, clearance is comparable to a Dana 44. That would be awesome with the 37's!
