Battery is good, alternator is good, changed out the coil, changed out cap and rotor, plugs and wires are good, still wont start. Could it be the Distributor? Any ideas?

I need to weld a spring perch on a front axle but where it goes lands right on the axle housing which is cast iron. Is it ok to weld on it, or should I just let the u-bolts hold it on? Should I make a gusett (sp?) from the perch to the axle tube? Thanks

Has anyone needed to notch their skid plate after install of an axle? Its in a wrangler. It is also the front axle. If so can I see some pics? I did angle the pinion about 8 degrees. Thanks
