    Camping near Zion

Look at the Guacamole trail area, or Gooseberry Mesa. Both of those areas should have options of what you're looking for. This time of year, it'll be busy with mountain bikers, though. That being said, I'd recommend taking a mountain bike...

    White Pine trail?

Kurt, is Mineral Fork closed only for 4x4 traffic? Or is it closed for dirt bikes, as well... we were recently planning on riding it. I guess I better find out if it's legal to ride.

    Behind the Reef Road

I was over there in September of last year, on a dirt bike... and I'm not sure what river to which the trail goes "all the way down," as you say. But you wouldn't want to take a full-sized rig through there. There's a few places where the trail chokes down to the width of a four-wheeler, not...

Toyota Thoughts regarding on-board air supply for Toyota Tacoma (specifically, ARB CKMTA12).

I'm wanting to mount, rig up, and plumb an on-board air compressor. I have the ARB CKMTA (twin compressor) ready to go, but I haven't yet determined where to mount it. Also, I'm wondering if it would be silly to mount it and not connect it to an air tank. And if an air tank is mounted, how...

For Sale - Best Offer FS in Sandy: 2005+ Toyota Tacoma ARB Deluxe Bumper with Bull Bar

I ended up installing an all-pro bumper... lower profile, slightly lighter, steeper angle of approach. Hopefully I made the right decision. Time will tell.

For Sale - Best Offer FS in Sandy: 2005+ Toyota Tacoma ARB Deluxe Bumper with Bull Bar

Pictures... Front view... Orthographic view (as they would call it in engineering school)... Again... Please note that I have removed the winch, the Hella's, and the fairlead. That being said, I'm not married to the Hella's or fairlead, so I'd consider parting with them, as well. (I...

'07 Toyota Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Off-Road build...

I think they're holding up pretty well. I haven't wheeled it all that hard, yet. They are definitely stiffer. And they squeak like crazy. No relocation of the shackles/mounts, if that's what you're asking. It was a really easy swap. The front shocks were a bit more of a headache.

Trails off of Highway 6, north of Helper?

I've only peered up the drainages while driving by them, but are there any good trails off of Highway 6, north of Helper? A little research reveals a few names: Crandall Canyon, Bear Canyon, and Hardscrabble. It also appears that there are a lot of roads shooting off of "Canyon Road," which...

'07 Toyota Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Off-Road build...

Precisely. I've got it all figured out in my head, how I'm going to hack the body mount and re-weld a piece of sheet metal back in the "hole," after creating a cardboard template, etc... However, when it comes to modifying the plastic and metal of the body and fenders (i.e. how the fenders are...

'07 Toyota Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Off-Road build...

It's been fun so far. No major issues, other than a lot of rub on the outside of the front tires when it's turned/stuff... It rubs on the body/body mount. Got it a little bit dirty, here...

Moab or/versus San Rafael Swell? Discuss.

I should qualify that, in saying that I've been to both places various times, I mean that I've been there usually through the eyes of a hiker, biker, climber... I'm new to the 4x4 thing, and was hoping to extract those that favor the Swell over Moab and visa versa. I had a great time in the...

Moab or/versus San Rafael Swell? Discuss.

I have no agendas or special motives in asking to compare the two. I just don't know lots about either, and would love to generate some good discussion. I've been to Moab a dozen times, and in and around the San Rafael Swell a dozen times, as well... curious to see what people think of the...

Finally got the skid plate on... looks like I've got 13.5" of vertical clearance between concrete and belly of the skid plate. Here she stands. Just need to get the sliders on, and she's ready for Moab.

'07 Toyota Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Off-Road build...

Took the butt off, today. It looked something like this... Then I did a little cutting, on the rear of the side panels... A little bit of spray-on rubberized/textured paint... Then on to some installing of the rear, wrap-around Demello bumper, solo and a la sketch... After eating ham...
