Thinking of picking up a gov. Blazer diesel
I kinda like the 6.2, they are gutless, but get good mileage, and are pretty easy to work on. For the price I'd buy it (assuming it runs decent).

Also check out any wires that run near any heat (exhaust) or moving parts.

x2 look for any dangling wires under the dash, I'd just look under the dash, jiggle wires and look for any arcing...
