Trip Report 2019 Winter 4x4 Jamboree

Was good to see you again! Meant to track you back down, but didn't work out. I did walk down to your group on chain and said hello to some buddies, but you looked busy spotting. Let me know when you head down again. Ran Front Range Saturday with Randy Patterson out of Vegas, there was a big...

    4L80e experts? SOLVED

Solved! So, after weeks of looking at pics, reading others threads, chasing wires, comparing old harness to new, and much more, the Howell harness for these applications (h9395) is correct, but wrong lol. The pinout is all correct, but according to their GM schematic B5,6 are labelled for the...

    4L80e experts? SOLVED

Having some issues with a gm swap. It is a TBI 5.7 and early 4l80e, Howell stand alone harness so it is simple and not a mess of wires, all new, clean and runs good. Issue I'm running into is I only had 1st, 2nd and reverse no DTC codes. After some others shared some input, I looked into the...

No more state safety inspection in utah

I love Red Rock! I started using them just due to their attachment to the moto scene, but always a good job and as mentioned the best pricing here. Also they always work me in. Call for an appointment, but often I've been taken care of just drop it off in the morning , and usually have a phone...

    Any TBI wizards?

So, looked this morning, there is one ground (braided) from firewall to engine, but it is broken, so no ground to chassis from engine itself, would this kill the ignition control module in the distributer like I'm experiencing, or after I fix it and add more grounds am I still looking for as...

    Any TBI wizards?

Yeah when i first started trackkng this down first place i went was fuel system. Its all good though, its just whatever electrically keeps taking out the ICM (ignition control module) in the distributor that is keeping me from running. Which leads me to your wire test...lol, i cant get it to run...

    Any TBI wizards?

Im not sure on the relay, im going to guess no (i didnt start this project and the wiring is a mess!) though and it is constantly running with key on 12v without the 2 sec run then wait for rpms. What does grounding the block like crazy achieve? Complications without? It does have a ground from...

    Any TBI wizards?

Have a TBI 350 that wont run. It is a fuel issue. Has air, spark, and will run with fuel poured into throttle body ( or test light grounded injector from purple/white wire). NO injector pulse. All started, tried to start it to get it on the trailer, something got left on, battery dead...

    Sand Hollow May 5 & 6

Sounds good! THe nice thing about sand hollow is everything is so close you can do many trails in one day and many have bypasses or exit points all throughout the trail if it isn't your cup of tea. See you then. FYI I think the Cartomaps are better, more precise, but for free the UPLA map is fine :D

    Sand Hollow May 5 & 6

I'm in no buggy, but can point out where to go, also there is a free map of the area that is pretty accurate, but missing newer trails through Dixie 4x4 or UPLA. Let me know, I should be around.

    Any auto trans experts?

Good to know. I have read people having a similar situation as mine, and there is some spring internally that they remove and has solved the issue, but who knows. If it does need a rebuild to solve it, I'll leave that to someone else lol. For what I mostly use it for it is never an issue. If it...

    Any auto trans experts?

Thanks! Fluid color and level has looked good since I got it, but know that's not always the whole story, again just been too lazy to drop the pan and busy having fun with it. Is the TF904 computer controlled? I'll look into resetting and am doubtful, but will try to see if that betters the...

    Any auto trans experts?

So I have had this issue since the jeep has been in my possession. 94 YJ, drives and have done most trails in sand hollow, but theres been a shift issue that hasn't caused problems but just annoys the crap out of me, and I know its not normal. So looking to see if theres something easy before I...
