I towed an 85 toyota pickup on a dolly with my 97 XJ w/ 4.0/auto from Sandy to Cedar City ...it wasn't that bad, just didn't have much power or brakes. I did it at night so traffis wasn't too bad ...I was going 45 up some of the hills, but wasn't pushing it as hard as I could have.

I tried this in my 97 cherokee 4.0 auto, no lift with 235's I got 21 avg mpg (after accounting for the slightly taller tires) going to SLC empty and coming back with a 22RE in the back, cruise on 75 most of the way. I don't know if this is my imagination or what, but the jeep didn't downshift...

I used to have one on my 350 TBI motor, I didn't notice much of a difference, but then again I didn't notice much of a difference with my gibson headers either. I don't know if my butt dyno isn't calibrated or what. No noticeable difference with MPG either. Ryan
