    Bullet proof Dodge steering upgrade

I have an '06 2500 that really needs the new steering upgrade. The freeway death wobble is not so cool. The only question I have before I order parts is that on some of the forums I ran across while researching this, people are saying you have to have the new pitman arm. A few people are...

    Toyota 3.4L timing belt tool

Cool...thanks for the tip. I'll probably end up trying that. I just don't have time to order the Snapon tool before the weekend and I also hate the idea of buying yet another $50 one time use tool.

    Toyota 3.4L timing belt tool

Hey, I need to change the timing belt in my wife's '01 4Runner. Does anybody happen to have the tool that makes it so you don't have to remove the A/C compressor? I think it's Snapon part YA9730.

    Weather Tech floor mats

I bought mine from Cabelas a couple of years ago when they had a sale going so I got a pretty good deal. I really love the Weather Tech mats. They fit really well and you don't trip on the lip like my old Husky mats. Not sure about RME vendors that carry them though.

What breathing system for my cummins 04.5

I think to answer your question of whether an aftermarket intake is "worth it" you have to look at your long term plans for the truck. If you want to do turbo upgrades and big fueling upgrades then I would definitely look at something like the AFE stage II. If you just want to keep your truck...

    Project Built for Towing

Those Smarty programmers are super cool. I would have gone that route on my '06 Cummins, but my 48re would have been toast.

    My new thing

Nice...how much did you bob the rear? Does your tailgate still work? Are you gonna shorten the front window when you cut the top? That's one of the projects I want to do soon.

07 Dodge CTD Performance upgrade reccomendations

Sounds like you are going to the wrong dealer. PM me if you are interested in my experiences with local dealers. As far as exhaust systems, you already have a 4" exhaust from the turbo back. The only really restrictive part is the muffler. As has already been mentioned you could straight...

    Tow rig / expedition vehicle

I'll post some pics when I get a chance. Let me know next time you're in UT and you can take a ride in the truck and see what you think. Your truck will look 10X better when you get the leveling kit and new tires on. I still like walking out to parking lots and seeing my truck. It's not huge...

    Tow rig / expedition vehicle

Here is some reading on some of the starter type systems: http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=163566&highlight=suspension+comparison http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=160302&highlight=suspension+comparison...

    Tow rig / expedition vehicle

I would suggest looking at some alternatives to the Kore setup. I haven't ridden in a truck with the Kore lift, but from what others have said it's much firmer than stock (rougher ride on roads) and you have to be going really fast to get it so soak up bumps like they claim. I have heard good...

    YJ build?

It would need to be street legal and would be driven to trails. He's looking for more of a hunting/exploring vehicle rather than a pure trail Jeep. Is anybody running one of the coil spring conversions for the front of a YJ?

    YJ build?

So, my dad is thinking he wants a jeep. He's not going to be doing any really hardcore wheeling, mostly just rough mountain roads and stuff. Probably running 33-35" tires. He definitely wants a hardtop and a 6 cylinder (or motor swap). I tried to talk him into just buying a Rubicon and...

'06 Ford PSD vs. '06 Dodge CTD

Thanks for all of the replys. I think I am leaning toward the Dodge right now (especially with the 0% APR this month).

    38" tires, balancing problem

I just had some 37" Creepy Crawlers mounted the other day and they guy at the tire shop said if I wanted to balance them that 10 oz. of sand per tire would be about right. I haven't tried it yet though because these tires are bias ply anyway and won't see any pavement.

'06 Ford PSD vs. '06 Dodge CTD

So, I think I've got the wife talked into letting me get a new truck. Through work I get a fleet discount on both Ford and Dodge so I am mainly looking at those two. I am looking at 3/4 ton diesels and there are things about both trucks that I like and dislike, so I am looking for some input...

    Pro Comp Shocks

I've got the 14" travel on the back of my 4-runner and they seem to work pretty well, especially for the price.

im done breaking birfields! how about an eliminator kit???

I just finished installing some 30 spline longfields this weekend. If you go to their website (toyotasuperaxles.com) there is a chart showing torque test results and the new 30 spline longfields are as strong as a 35 spline dana 60. When I was trying to decide what would work best for me I...

    chevy lift

My buddy just bought a '73 Chevy 3/4 ton and he is installing a 4 inch lift. Will he be able to fit 35" tires, or will he have to use 33's? He doesn't want to do any fender trimming. I used to have a chart from one of the magazines that shows what tires fit with what lift, but I can't seem to...

where to take a broken driveline?

Hey Evan, That driveline is a stock one from a Chevy half ton truck. It just happened to be the right size when I did the spring over. It may be cheaper to find another one at a junkyard or here on the board than to have yours fixed. Just measure it and try to find one the same size. So...
