Towing a car hauler (Jeep) with a slide-in camper

We are planning on doing a ton more camping and wheeling. I did a couple of chassis upgrades to the tow rig - SSBC brakes and some 19.5 inch wheels and tires. The "G" load range tires have a much tougher sidewall than the OEM 16 inch "E" range tires.

    Trip Report EJS 2024

The Bilstein guys picked the only vehicle older than 2000 on the trail and said they were impressed with the willingness to help other wheelers. They also noticed that the jeep had old, plain white shocks. The prize included some cool swag and a full set of shocks. Guess I be forced to cut...

    Trip Report EJS 2024

Here is the climb area. Bilstein sponsored the trail and had their Hellcat Gladiator and a JL in the group. Here's a little closer look at the climb The stock bronco behind us had a little trouble getting up the ledge, even with stacking rocks. I turned the scramber around and went back...

    Trip Report EJS 2024

This was the first time for us to attend EJS - we generally don't like crowds or yahoo drivers on trails with us. But, I've wanted to go back to Moab - we haven't wheeled there since 2014 - not knowing if we'd have a good time or not, we limited our time to Saturday through Monday (23-26 Mar)...

Towing a car hauler (Jeep) with a slide-in camper

We wheeled Saturday through Monday. Already back home. This was our first time to EJS, so I was worried about the crowds. Surprisingly the wife had a great time and said to plan to go for longer next year. Also, really the first time we've had the scrambler on the trail. Lots to share about...

Setup towed great down to Moab. Still have plenty of unused storage.

    Teraflex Delta Brakes

If you can bleed your brakes, you can knock out a master cylinder. I've had master cylinders go out, but the pedal would go to the floor without enough resistance (you could feel the failed seal). Something like this sounds like a slowly failing seal in the master cylinder

Towing a car hauler (Jeep) with a slide-in camper

I'll get some pictures with the trailer hooked up when I get it ready for EJS. There is a "porch" on the NL campers that sticks out a bit at the back. This darn weather needs to warm up. I'm running a Torklift supertruss on a Torklift Magnum 30K hitch. With the WD hitch and extension, it is...
