My buddy got it all back together Wednesday and installed yesterday. I guess one good thing that came out of this is we found out the tranny and tcase are 23 spline.

Figured out we’re the pin went but have an extra ball. One fell out of both the new and old case while they were being taken apart.

Short bolt and torque in reverse I guess don’t jive.

Cool thanx we’ll get into it on Saturday. Apparently your not supposed to rock crawl in reverse while pulling a Jeep.

Still haven’t had time to do the swap yet and want to go wheeling next weekend but the rear case broke last time out. It’s a top shift and I have two front shift spares. Can the front shift be moded to work as a top shift?

The case is fully built with JB 4:1, Hd front and rear outputs it even has 27 spline input. More worried about the case but I’ll build a good crossmember to tie into.

The cover is a different shape then a 60/70 cover. The housing is bigger then the other 70s I believe it’s the same as a Dana 80 but you’d have to talk to some one that makes covers or pull a cover from salvage yard.
