    RE Small Joint

I appreciate the offer... it always amazes me how Jeep folks are so willing to help. I have been on both sides of that. I am going to try Redrock when they open then beg RE to overnight me a part. They do second day, and that would work potentially.

    RE Small Joint

Anyone know of someone local who stocks the RE joints or rebuild parts? I have one down on my LJ long arm and a MOAB trip scheduled for Friday. Things are not looking good :-(

    TJ/LJ Upper Control Arm Bracket

Thanks. My RE catalog is a little dated now. I'll give them a call if nothing else. I see the part number listed in thier "kit" and they are pretty good about support... Add/edit... And teraflex is down the street. I'll swing by tomorrow to check it out...

    TJ/LJ Upper Control Arm Bracket

Tore the left upper bracket clean off just above the axle welds. On this Jeep the upper left control arm and the track bar use the same bracket. Not fun driving home with a ratchet strap for the track bar... I can weld the old one back on, but thats not going to cure the weak link. Anyone...

    Jeep Stroker

Thinking about going with a 4.6L stroker for my 06 LJ. This after considering a Dodge V8 or a supercharger. Engine conversion is cost prohibitive and the superchargers seem to be plagued with issues, not to mention the fact that none of the distributors, minus Avenger, seem to be around long...

Hey folks, I got this coupon from USA-ALL. Looks like Big 5 is trying to help out a little. If you have a Big 5 purchase coming up, please consider using the coupon! Hope this does not violate any rules. Thanks, Tim

Opinions on a good 3/4 Season Tent

I have the Alaskan Guide tent. VERY well made, relatively easy set up. Its great if your caught in the wind... very sturdy. Its also VERY heavy and bulky to pack. I give it an 8 out of 10. I have a Kelty cabin tent. POS. Pain to set up, hates wind, flappy. A good tent is money well...

    Lots of advice, please

I pulled 8-9000 lbs with a 2001 Dodge 2500 CTD, auto, with edge EZ at got 17mpg. I ran 19-21 empty depending on speed. I could run 65 un Parleys. You can not beat the CTD for fuel mileage, but diesel has got darn high these days. I had the same truck, 2001, 1500, 5.9L Magnum, 4.10 gears and...

    XJ question

Oil sending unit is likely bad. If it were really 80, you'll be pushing oil out of it. Common issue. Check the code but its most likely an O2 sensor for the check engine. Could have messed up the wires, or bad sensor. Easy to pinch the wires or pull 'em when doing exhaust work. If they...

    Boycott Cabelas and LLBean

I agree completely. Utah is doing a very good job with the trail system, and I think its in no small part credit to both the efforts of U4, the local clubs, this and other forums, and the responsibility the mechanized community has taken. In 26 years of "off highway" driving, I have met only a...

    Boycott Cabelas and LLBean

These are the situations where things get really complicated. I can tell you as a Jeep guy, flyfisherman and one who has wheeled Tellico many times, that Tellico is an unusual situation. I have fought road closures for many years and openly support mechanized recreation. But Tellico always...

    dt3000

I had little luck with the DT3000s. However, I ran the DT8000s (Prerunner) on a 93 YJ SOA and loved them. They litterally had 30K offroad miles on them and were still going strong, minus the paint. I run the RE Monos on the LJ now. With soft springs (RE 4.5), the REs simply did not get the...
