    2003 WJ Blend Door Actuator

Here's my issue. Like the title says, I have a 2003 WJ that has a ceased up blend door actuator that's stopping warm airflow on the passenger side. At first, I thought it was the blend doors since they are notorious for breaking. I retrieved the code from the temp control dash indicating that it...

    Peugeot to AX15 swap

I've seemed to figure it out. An HO 4.0 CPS wont work with the Renix 4.0 motor. So if anyone runs into this problem in the future, you need to use the Peugeot flywheel on the AX 15 tranny and run a CPS from the year of the motor (in this case, an '88) not the tranny ('96).

    Peugeot to AX15 swap

I have an '88 XJ that had a Peugeot that exploded. I swapped in an ax15 from a '96 XJ. My question is....How do I get the crankshaft position sensor (CPS) to work? The CPS that came off the Peugeot is completely different then the one on the '96. I thought about getting the male side of the plug...

    What's wrong with this pic?

I'm glad you got it fixed, sorry again. I still can't believe how much he shaved off looking at the pics you have posted. Seems like a waste of time to cut that much off to gain 1/2" - 1" of ground clearance. Doesnt make sense to me, but I guess everyone is different.

    What's wrong with this pic?

Bart, when I went and got the Buggy that the axle came from, he didn't tell me he did all that. I drove all the way to Denver to get that buggy, then I noticed he welded the bottom of the housing to the diff cover, and was not happy. I was going to fix it, but never got around to it. I had no...

    Tire do doo

I'm running 39" Krawlers now and I really like 'em. They stick really well to all surfaces that I've driven on, and they flex well. I have had no problems with the sidewall, they have held up really well. Carl is right though, the only drawback is that they do burp air on the inner bead if...

    Jeep wont stay running!!!

Check the valve on your fuel rail, it looks just like a tire valve stem, if it releases a good stream of gas then your fuel system is ok. I would guess its a crank shaft position sensor. Jeeps are notorious for those going out.

    Transfer case match

Get the tag number off of the back of each case and call Six States in Orem, they'll be able to tell you if they are the same or different. If they are different, Six States can put the right input shaft in the t-case you want to keep.

    Death Wobble

Check and see if your track bar came loose for any reason. If not, your caster angle may be screwed up, go to a good alignment shop and have them check it.

how wide is a waggy front 44?

We did RE 7.5" coils and moved the axle forward 3". We just got some rear TJ coil buckets and modfied em a bit, then welded them further back on the axle housing so that the spring would center up right.

how wide is a waggy front 44?

If you're looking to swap one into an XJ, its a really good fit. Me and my brother put a front waggy 44 and a rear 44 with disk brakes out of a '97 Passport, and it worked out awesome.

    9" upgrade???'s

You can do both. Wildhorses makes a 31 spline SB chromo shaft kit. I would go with a BB housing, because 1. They are tougher 2. If you ever wat to go to a 35 spline upgrade a BB is the only way to do that. I bought some 31 spline Yukon 4340 BB shafts from completeoffroad.com for $232, that...

    axle retube dana 44

If I were you, I would call Kevin or Kent at Six States in Orem. I have had nothing but good luck with them, and they do awesome work. As far as a price, I would have no clue.

time for the DANA 60! what to use???

I agree, you basically would be doing a latteral jump for u-joints instead of birfs. If you end up doing a swap, do a 60 and forget about it. Because we all end up doing the same thing sooner or later...going with a bigger tire, more HP, etc. If you have a set of 60's or a 14bolt, 60 combo...

What did you build your 4x4 for?

I voted for a 5. I built mine for offroad use only, obviously you've seen my rig Greg. It's not exactly a street worthy machine :D . I did want it that way because I wanted to be able to do just about anything on a trail. I have, in the past had streetable rigs, and I honestly wouldn't give up...

    The waterfall bragging thread.

Greg! Whats up this is Josh, welcome to RME. I got some new pics of the 'Yota for ya. By the way it worked awesome in its virgin trip to Moab. I'll have my judgement day on the waterfall on Upper Heldo over Memorial Day.
