so I think shifting is highly overrated. and i've heard there are a lot of similarities between older isuzu and toyota tranny's. has anyone heard of putting an auto isuzu into an older toy(1986)? just looking for info right now.

I just bought an 85 runner with the automatic tranny. when i hold it in first it goes great but when it shifts it bogs down big time. my friend mentioned some solenoid on the tranny that might be bad. any clues? Its got the 22RE and it runs good.

so i've been scouring the net looking for a master rebuild kit for a 3.4 liter v6 and i've only found i company rons precision machine in sandy. anyone know any other reputable companies? i'm not in a rush.
