    Heating a Cold Shop?

Yes. That is the one. It works well, but uses more power than I’d like to heat. I actually bought one of those diesel heaters that are used in RVs and trucks. The exhaust goes through the wall of my shop. It does a pretty nice job of taking the chill off and it sips the fuel on the lowest...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

My grandpa had the same story. He dated a girl that lived in the Avenues and had to drive up there in reverse.

    Your Pic of The Day

I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking they might. Only because I'm 85% certain that the Terra-Low gears fit both the 18 and the 20.

    Your Pic of The Day

Tested the Jeff Petrowich 5:1 low D18 low gears today. About 60 miles total so far. They are quiet running gears at high speed and in low range.

Is it ok to have a "make light of" thread?

Can we make light of Low Range advertising on KSL today that still has their Orem address on it??

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Decided to ditch the electric fan and old radiator, mounts and start fresh. Wanted a radiator that would bolt to the grill and be narrow enough not to require modification to the headlight housings. 1964 Ranchero/Comet/Mustang rad was ordered. Found that the Ford Explorer fan clutch was shorter...

General Tech What did you work on Today?

Our’48 Willys has always been a slow evolution as each year we try to make a few improvements. It’s a 4.3L/TH350/AA adapter/Dana 18 setup. The TH350 has been a consistent leak issue, but got much worse this summer. The cooling system has also proven to be borderline and we occasionally had to...

    Sandhollow thanksgiving?

We usually stay at the Sandpit Campground, but we haven’t checked to see if there are any spots available yet. Plan B is usually a BLM site heading towards the AZ border south of Sand Hollow.

    New Cordless Tools

I bought the M18 Milwaukee string trimmer this spring and I was blown away by how well it worked. My Crapsman and DeWalt stuff is getting long in the tooth and the "new" XRP batteries I bought a few years ago are starting to wither, so I'm moving to Milwaukee M18 or M12 for any new tools. I'd...

    Which Winch?

I got his snatch ring package and 2 soft shackles. I deleted the bag from my cart after remembering that I have way too many bags laying around now.

    Which Winch?

Clicking on that link cost me a few bones! But I like supporting a guy that has put out so much great tech info over the years so . I really like the Warn uprights. We have one on the '48 and one on the FJ80. Fast, dependable, low maintenance, etc. Never tried any of the smaller Warn...

Recommend me an adjustable angle clamp for welding.

I've purchased a few Fireball tools and they are good quality. Their less expensive vices are made in Taiwan, so that was a little disappointing. Still a nicer piece of kit than the HF stuff.
