    NP231 w/SYE

Funny, memory is a bit fuzzy after 9 years but Advance Adapters is what I was thinking. I figured that I already had AA on the brain because of the recent Atlas purchase.

    NP231 w/SYE

I knew someone would ask that! I'm not sure, I bought the TJ from a friend back in '06 and SYE was already on it.

    Trusted ARB Shop

I know this has been asked in the past but after searching I haven't found a recent Thread. If ARB reliability is all about the install who are the trusted shops on the Wasatch front? Install is in a TJ.

Yes, it's been beat to death...which locker?

Almost forgot...Alloy USA R&P's? Any experience out there...stay away from and use Yukon or no problem?

Yes, it's been beat to death...which locker?

Thanks everyone for the great input and entertainment:D Looks like the consensus is ARB's are the way to go for a DD and attention to detail at install is critical (like anything). I think I already knew this but tried to talk myself (with some help that has already been discussed in this...

Wayne...you're killing me...this is too funny but a little to familiar:rolleyes:

Yes, it's been beat to death...which locker?

Yes I would love to go cheap for now but lockers are only part of my problem...3.73's and 35's aren't exactly a perfect combo:o So if I'm going gears it seems that I just as well go with new carriers at the same time...and as usual one thing leads to another so while it's apart I just as well...

Yes, it's been beat to death...which locker?

So Wayne...why is it that the solution is always the expensive one:D Seriously I hear you regarding going with LSD's just to want more capability and redo in a year:( Seems like I had what originally seemed like a great RE SA suspension only to 'need' a LA later:D Also, could be that I...

Yes, it's been beat to death...which locker?

Thanks BlackSheep. I'm not sure if flat towing is a problem or not? When flat towing I put the TC in Neutral so the driveshafts are 'Free'...seems that a Detroit isn't locked when there isn't any load on the DS; however, I do need to think about snow. In an LSD I'm potentially thinking...

Yes, it's been beat to death...which locker?

Ok I can already hear the groaning out there, I know that this one has been beat to death over and over but I'm still debating about the solution. Which stinkin locker (or LSD)! I have a '04 TJ with a 4.0 and 5-spd...4.5" RE LA...35's...D44/D30 with 3.73's and open diffs...I need to get my...

    bore throttle body

Thanks Wayne...as usual you're the guy with the answers:D This is just what I was thinking but hoping someone else had already tried it. I'll pull the TB this weekend and give this a try.

    bore throttle body

Not trying to change the subject but I've got an Edge TB on mine and at certain combinations of load, RPM and throttle opening it has the most annoying whistle:ugh: Anyone run into this with stock throttle bodies that have be bored? I suspect there is a sharp edge or something causing this...

I think I got lucky when it actually fit the first time...wouldn't want to ruin my perfect record:D

I Actually Built Something This Week!

Actually they don't fit perfect...I designed them about .050" undersize just to make it a little easier to install the jack. Lugs are built out of .875 (7/8) round bar with ends turned down to a diameter of .65 (.30 long) and flats are .45 wide and the center tapped 3/8-16 with a socket head...

I Actually Built Something This Week!

Decided that I needed to get my Hi-Lift mounted so I designed a couple mounting lugs...put the tire carrier in the mill and plunged a couple of holes for the new lugs...then I modified a couple of aluminum 4-point knobs with some grooves for a lanyard (trying to eliminate...where did I put that...
