It has the 4.0 and with the np435 low range isn't needed. Just crawl around in first and easily maneuver into where you want it. Did have to beef up rear bumper/crossmember as the tongue weight on trailer is almost 1k

Current crawler hauler/tow rig setup, 6.0 powerjoke got to be a maintenance nightmare. Only downside is the overall length makes it tough at RV parks for most sites. Therefore you just pull out the Jeep to park

I ran 32' fifth wheel toy-hauler without garage, with Jeep inside for about 3 years. it was a double axle and it handled the weight ok. I had a payload capacity of 4800#. There is one major drawback on all of the toy-haulers in the placement of the axles. They are too far forward to handle...

I have had two wj's, 99 and 01, both with 4.7's and quadradrive and loved them both. current one has 160k and still runs great.

6.0 with egr delete, Auto, roughly 32's, it cruises at 70 about 2500rpm. a little high but doesn't seem to mind too much. gets roughly 9-12 no matter the load. I haven't chipped it yet but with the low gears it does very well towing heavy loads. Gooseneck dumpster trailers with trailer...

Thanks, I have tried the slide in bed campers, toy haulers and just plain tent camping, and this works the best yet. The only option I haven't tried is the motor-home and they get real expensive to tow a heavy crawler around.

2004 Ford F550 Headache rack is a work in progress but this tows jeep and 28' camp trailer very nicely. 4.88 in axles limit fuel economy a bit but never lack for power.
