    When I was hiking out west, a park ranger was explaining how to avoid bear contact by wearing a little bell and carrying pepper spray, and how you could tell what kind of bears were in the area by examining their crap. He said in black bear crap piles you'd most likely see semi-digested berries...

    when flat towing via tow bars, must the tow bars be parallel to the ground?

    It is better to have the ball end slightly higher if you can't get it level. Because when the tow vehicle brakes, the nose dives and the rear raises, however the towed vehicle nose will rise. If the ball end is lower, when the towed vehicle nose rises it can overcome the tow bar and end up...

    Kicking around the idea of doing the White Rim Road around early to Mid Nov. (Only time the campgrounds are not booked solid after Aug.) Any thoughts on typical conditions in Moab that time of year. I have been down there in Mid to late Oct and it was 70's one day, 50's the next?
