Black Bear and Imogene Passes, Sept 2015

For reference, I did Black Bear in my 139" wheelbase Nissan Titan. It was do-able, but most definitely have somebody spot you on the switchbacks. Very fun trail, and the views are worth the little bit of butt clenching near the end. Please note, I did lose two mudflaps on BB making some of...

    Central Utah Moab Aug. 9-12

I will second the Mill Creek swimming hole. If you park at the power plant there is some descent swimming right below the dam. It is a little challenging to get down into the canyon, but there is a small trail about 50 yard below the dam that has some foot holes to climb down. Just be careful...

    Let's talk Escalante...

The Calf Creek campground is a pay site, but it is very kid friendly. Calf Creek runs right through the campground. When we were the back in the day I was probably 11-12. We had a blast playing in the creek. Being 36 now, I really really want to go back and, well, play in the creek again. Zack

    Let's talk Escalante...

If I remember correctly, there are some small ruins on the hike to Lower Calf Creek falls from the campground. But that has been 20+ years ago. I remember ripping my swim trunks sliding by the lower falls. That was a fun hike back! Zack

    Nissan 2010 Pathfinder.

Go to www.prgproducts.com He does not list much for the Pathy, but if you give him a call he would be able to steer you in the right direction. He probably has other options that he does not list on his web page. Very easy to talk to, and he would even steer you away from his products if he...

Colorado Planning a trip from GA - looking for ideas.

You may run into issues in October with snow for the Holy Cross portion. The elevation is a little higher in that area than 21rd or Rangely. You probably would not have a huge snow pack, if at all, on HC, but it may make your highway travel difficult if they get an early season storm at the...

I have been on 3 of these obstacles. video inside

I was going to say the "Golden Stairs." I recognize the obstacle, and remember it being a huge pain on the ATV. Only another reason to run it again and find out for sure... Zack

    Coyote Canyon

Kind of off the wall question. Would they permit an ATV or a SXS to run the trail? Thanks, Zack

    Daddy Daughter Moab Trip

It is probably the coolest thing ever that you can spend a few days with your daughter. There are a lot of dads out there that would never do such a thing. Impressive sir!!

    Moab June 4-10

I am not a first timer, but i am somewhat of a noob. Where you staying? We are in canyonlands campground. I would love to do Hells again, or we would be up for the psm/gs/gbr combo. We would probably do the atv's on that one though.

    Moab June 4-10

All, I will be in Moab on the above dates. Let me know if anybody wants to hit up some trails. I am in a Nissan Titan on 33's locked in the rear, so nothing extreme. We will also be on the ATV's a bunch. Thanks, Zack

    Words and Phrases I HATE!!!

I hate it when my relatives in Kentucky call a ravine, or creek valley, a "holler."

    moab for a day

Yeah, I do not know that I would sent a first time jeeper on Fins or Hell's. You could check out Hurrah Pass to Chicken Corners. Or Potash Road/Shafer Trail, see a little bit of Canyonlands park, then head back Long Canyon Road. A little North of Moab is Gemini Bridges, Bull Canyon. If you...
