    Anyone into 3D printing?

For me the draw of resin is doing small features that a filament printer can’t do, and surface finishes that in my opinion, come close to near-injection-molded quality. In size comparison; my filament printer can handle prints much larger than my resin printer. (Filament print volume in my...

Elegoo Saturn 2. I got it on FB marketplace but it was new/unused when I got it. Looks like they’re on Amazon with its successor, the Saturn 3. From what I can tell, Elegoo’s models are named in junction with planet sizes, so they make a Mars which is smaller than the Saturn, and their biggest...

Obligatory Benchy I think if I would have printed it the other way, with the bow towards the build plate, then the lettering on the stern would turn out better, you can see some bumps from where the support rods were attached. Maybe slightly smaller layers would help too. Either way, a lot...

    Anyone into 3D printing?

Yeah they make clear resin and clear filament. I’m assuming the resin is a lot more clear than the filament. The clear filament I’ve printed with in the past is good for light transmission but that’s about it, you can’t see detail through it.

Wasn’t sure what exactly to print for my first print, so I printed another gear just because I had the file. According to the slicer, this gear cost me ~$1.60 in resin cost.

Gladiator buying: Who's looking to buy?

This TANKED the resale value on my JT. I’m not bitter about it, it’s just factual. Lost $20k of value in one year on just the truck itself, not including the cost of any of the aftermarket items I bought for it which I am fully aware and not in an illusion that they add market value to any...

    Transaxle buggy’s; the need-to-knows?

“Hypothetically” if my “friend” were to be interested in building a transaxle buggy, what would they need to know that’s not obvious to a layman? Are the transaxles being opened up all the way to the differential to make the differential a locker? How difficult even is that? Or is it not...

    Making my trailer spring over

It’s a little bit more stress on suspension components under braking because your axle would have more leverage to twist on leaf spring, but I don’t see brakes in that pic so that’s null. One thing of note; vast majority of trailer axles are purposefully arched (bent) up in the middle. You need...
