Idle Air Control Valve Question

Ok, so the TPI 350 in my scrambler has been running a little rough lately...

Generally speaking it seems like the idle is set too low and it keeps dying. Someone mentioned it sounds like a problem with my idle air control valve/motor/module...

In reading about this online, it sounds like it can be as simple as cleaning my Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.

Has anyone done this? Any suggestions?

Should I just replace the valve?

If its anything like an iac for a jeep 4.0 or ls, which i assume it is the seat can get carboned up and stick causing not enough air to get through. Pull it and clean the pintle and where it sits in the throttle body and slap it back together. Dont pull or push the pintle tho.
